Everybody's getting white Tacomas to match the white Escape. Very nice.

Looks great Bruce.
I like your patio mat, though you might have to get a bigger awning to cover it.

Re: As promised -- 19' photos
By the looks of that first picture, it seems that you cannot completely open the door if the awning is set up. Is this so on the 19'?

Re: As promised -- 19' photos
Yes, it's true, unless you put the awning arms/feet on the ground. As Tammy so wisely suggested though, we have a little bungie we use if the arms are attached to the trailer. It works just fine. LOVE this camper!! Jenny

Re: As promised -- 19' photos
Like Jenny said, If the awning is open on the 19, and the arm left braced on the trailer, the door will not fully open. What I do, is to remove the arm from the trailer, and stake it upright to the ground. For us, it has actually proven to be the best way to set up anyway, because when left attached to the trailer it is much more int the way blocked you movement along its length. When in an upright position it takes up little space, giving you more room to move around.
I showed this to a friend who has a small motorhome with the same situation. He never realized you could even remove the bottom end of the arm from the trailer. He too had just used a bungee cord to hold the door open, and now much prefers this setup.

Re: As promised -- 19' photos
Hi: Jim et all... We don't have this problem with the 5.0. The door fully extends and latches to the side of the trailer under the awning. This is great 'till a sudden thunder storm lets loose, and you scramble to put in the awning, and jump into the trailer; only to realize that the screen door doesn't keep out much rain!!! I was volunteered to go back out and unlatch the door...shoulda put on my bathing suit. : Alf

C'mon Alf, suck it up. A wee bit of rain never hurt nobody.
(well, except that frozen stuff the size of marbles that is )

Re: As promised -- 19' photos
Thanks for the compliments, folks. Got lucky with the color -- I've bought only white vehicles for over the last 20 years. Stays cool and doesn't show dirt until it's really dirty. As far as the door goes, if I'm not detaching the arm, I just use a spare strap looped from the arm to the handle. Like they say down under, no worries, mate.
