To bad it was not made part of the cabinet below, or even have the microwave cabinet raised, and add it to the wardrobe. Nonetheless, I imagine you will find something to store there, spare blankets or other linens maybe. Better than wasting the space.

Since I'm short too, I've had to figure some "Shortcuts". One of them is to get a bamboo back scratcher from the Dollar or 99cent store and use it to coax those items close enough to grab. I keep one in my minivan along the side of the seat in order to reach things on the passenger side floor. (Such as a tissue box, papers etc.) It is easily stored too.

One of these is handy for those upper cabinets. Product: LivingQuarters Folding Step Stool

Good tip Sandra, I like multi-taskers
Norma actually has one of those steps in her sewing room Jim. Its remarkably sturdy for how compact it is...

The 21' and the new 5er have so much in common. I'm planning on putting a "bar" in the back... like Paul put in the face of the cupboard... and using the space for foil, plastic bags, wax paper, etc. I currently have this stuff hanging on the cupboard door of my Scamp... it should work great in that small space.. I'm hoping...

We do the same in our 21 Donna. Foil boxes, barbecue utensils, and anything long, we put up there. Plastic bags go above the cubbies. I'm sure we'll figure other items to put in that small deep cabinet. AND, as you stated, there's so much storage space in the 21, after our Casita, I haven't figured out how to fill it all.

That's a nice folding stool. I just picked up on at our local Ross but it was a little more expensive (but not shipping) and only holds 250 lbs.

A friend gave us a step stool just like that and will bring it with us as we pick up our 19. I'm also bringing a small 2 step "ladder" and hope it will be tall enough for me to reach the awning so that I can strap the 2 awning straps that secure it for travel. With my wife and I being "altitude challenged," the Escape 19 will feel like a palace!
