I did just recently..

Used a "suede" type panel--a longer 72 inch one and a shorter 54?? --they were cheap on sale... (we have a 17 and they go from the sink window all the way around the back) I think they join somewhere near a drivers back corner and do have a bit of overlap.

I bought looped trim and sewed it on the long side of the curtains (cut off the big round metal loops for hanging from a rod) The curtains were almost folded in half to make the right length--about 6 inches too short for a total doubling)

On the metal piece of the blinds I used the small clear plastic 3M hooks. They stick really well and are really not noticeable when curtains are down. Tink I did two on the sink window--three on the side windows and 4 or 5 on the large rear window---no droop!

Its a very quick set up and take down and the curtains fold so small to store during the day...

Made a world of difference--those early morning bright sunrises in Osoyoos were brutal...MUCH better the next trip...

And I am not a sewer--so I could manage this job!

Sounds great and doable even for someone like me! I don't sew (much), give me a hot glue gun or 3M hooks and I am in heaven.

Really? More stuff? What about eyeshades? I just use a light dark colored t-shirt, which also insulates the noggin'.

Eyeshades can be good but I was actually thinking of all of the curtains that I see over on the fiberglass forum and how they look better than plain shades. Could also be made to match the upholstery fabric for people providing their own. The curtains often are a very nice touch and homey looking. And can block light at the same time.

MIne are up at night and down in the morning.

Eye shades make my eyes sweat!! I used to wear them when I worked straight nights--now we have room darkening pull down blinds (and I don't do nightshift!)

You do have to sew the loopy trim on but I could manage that!! And then sewed a couple rows to "hem" them to the right length...

Anna-Marie, why do you take them down in the day? They don't look like regular curtains?

They hook onto the plastic hooks which are across the metal trim on the blinds,as
I didn't want to install curtain rods to slide them across--they fold up so easily..

Easier and less cumbersome to totally remove them.

If anyone has put a curtain rod in their trailer in the bed area - what have you used for a curtain rod going across in the 5, 19 or 21 to block off the bed area? Is it something that stays in place when the trailer is moving?
We like the wire curtain rods the best, but the bracket seems big? Thoughts?

I used a rod in my 19, a compression type you adjusted by unscrewing, stayed up. The 21 has the rod across the door.

We use a tension rod in our 5.0 Classic...easy peasy. It has never fallen down or moved out of place.

We have used them in two trailers and a motorhome with good success, but you need flat parallel surfaces to install it between, and if you have anything hanging (such as curtains) hanging from it while moving you increase the chance that it will be pulled down.
