I have a question about your counter tops. We noticed that no matter the color of the edging material (tan, white, brown or black) the little rubber screw head covers were light brown. Yours appear to be black. Did you supply those or did Tammy supply those?

Thanks. Egbert is a beauty.

When I ordered my trailer in 2011, I supplied Reace with the black edging for my counters and tables. The black covers are just snap covers and I purchased them at Lowes. I changed all the cabinet handles too so they were easier for my husband's larger hands plus I wanted a nickel finish. If you want different colored edging, then Reace can probably get it now - he didn't have a supplier at the time. Snap covers and the other stuff you can change at your leisure.

I had noticed that with LBaranyai's pics, too, so asked her about it. When I popped the covers off to take to the store to size them, I thought I'd just try spray painting them first. (I have every color under the sun at home.) It worked so I'm done. Next up is to replace or "re-color" the brown edging.

Hi Karen,

My wife and I really like what you have done with your trailer. What is the counter top you went with? Is the flooring standard? Everything looks really great together. We are hoping to order one soon.

Enjoy your new home on wheels!

John

Thank you! The laminate is Formica Mineral Olivine Radiance Finish (3447-RD) and the vinyl is Congoleum Ultima Sandstone (Jalapeno). Keep in mind that there is quite an upcharge for custom vinyl as Escape is only paying about $6 per square meter for their product...you pick up the difference in price between their product and your pick and it can be hefty.

It looks like you have a two burner stainless steel stove. I didn't see that in the options. Was that a special order? I like the shelf behind the stove too!

Thanks,
John

Egbert looks totally beautiful! Like that bed set-up. You certainly put a lot of nice personal touches. Now for the fun. As for the rally, if it gets a little warm, the Maxx fan helps that quite a bit.

I don't think I've seen the two-burner SS stove listed as an option but I found it online (same manufacturer) so requested it. No problem there. The shelf is necessary for ventilation purposes on the 15A with the small refrigerator. Escape has changed the configuration now so the refer is on the passenger side. But they can build you anything you want (almost) including an additional shelf.

The first trip out...

...in Egbert went without a hitch. Everything worked perfectly as expected. Even the solar panel kept up with my needs despite rainy days and overcast skies. While I didn't beat the ten-minute record posted a couple of weeks ago, I gave three tours the first day and two the second; then everyone was settled in for the long weekend. Two options with which I am the most pleased: the front storage box (I really wavered on that one) and the drop-down shelf as a landing just inside the door.

On to the next adventure...

Love that pic ...... Is that little shelf not in the way of where one sits - by drop down you mean it folds out of the way .....seems a really good idea .

It sounds like fun! We are going back and forth about the storage box too. I think it will be handy and will also protect the front of the trailer. Is that black trim you have around the Formica shelf?
