My buddy, having now sold his partnership in a firm that does corporate interior design and retired, wanted to upgrade the flooring in his 19'. Reace did his best to talk him out of it, but he went ahead anyway. I'm sure my buddy got the flooring he wanted at a very good price, since his company would buy thousands of square feet for clients, but it still wasn't cheap to install.
I have the standard flooring, and a couple Walmart runners. I put down a good coat of floor wax once a year.
I think my camping experience is just as good as his.

Of all the customization I wanted done to my trailer, the one thing I didn't change was the flooring. It's a great color for camping.. doesn't show dirt! And like others, I have purchased a couple of small rugs and a runner. By time those are down, not much flooring is going to be visible anyway.

That's a good point Donna. When we walk in our trailer our rugs cover most of the main flooring except under the table.

Before selling it after reading good reviews on its durability I put that light, interlocking printed wood pattern HomeD flooring in my previous trailer. I did it purely for looks and it really really looked great.

However, would never do it for a trailer I was keeping. Why? Had done it before, in another trailer (the Burro). After a season of camping we had tracked in so much grit, and got water damage in the door area that combined to quickly take the bloom off the rose. Of course we had rugs. I ripped it all out and put tile in. Far more sensible.
