Home on the Range
Eastbound across southern Saskatchewan a few weeks ago.. the Escapes, me and free range cattle.. truly no fences (or any one else) as far as the eye can see. I was really feeling "the true north strong and free" and kind of hungry for a nice piece of grass fed steak

Hope you brought you own firewood. I didn't know you had open range in those parts.

You should send that first photo to ETI for their website photos. I put it on my desktop. Love those wide open spaces.

Campfire in a Can and the optional exterior low pressure propane connector here your bigger concern when you see no fences is you see no public fuel stations lots of card lock diesel for the local farmers but they're the same as a mirage if you don't have the right card :-( Plan accordingly!

There undoubtedly are but Saskatchewan is also home to the RCMP college They have a pretty solid record against rustlers and their ilk. I'd put them up against your CHIPers anyday

Wouldn't be fair to put the RCMP up against the CHP. Totally different mounts. :

I have my doubts as to how many rustlers the CHP has had to deal with, so I'll go with the RCMP.

Rustlers will see those pretty red coats coming from 10 miles away, at least the Chippies can sneak up in their blind spot!

Do CHPs use WDH to haul the billboards they hide behind?

Hey, both RCMP and CHP fight the good fight as does all law enforcement.

Billboards? You've been watching too many movies. That's what I did for 30 years, heck they'll be yacking away and speed by a patrol car on the highway and not even see it!

The terrain in the Longview Alberta area is incredible. Rolling hills with a view to the snow capped mountains to the west. Worth a trip to see. Ian Tyson and those four strong winds that blow lonely.
