More pics!!! I wish I could just drop everything and be there to pick it up the day it’s finished. Thankfully I only have to wait a month, but I’m so excited!

Also, the decal color is going to match out Honda Ridgeline perfectly!

Just noticed the material on the kitchen side of the wardrobe...Is that the countertop formica? did you ask for that, or is it the new design. (I put my countertop formica both there (half way up to meet my range hood) and on the wall from the kitchen window to the corner.

One thing I do not like is the lack of a backsplash. I wonder why Escape excludes it? I also wonder how difficult it would be to add one as an owner modification?

Easy. And you probably could make something nicer.

Lots of people have upgraded the area behind the counter and I am sure links will be following soon...or you can use the search function.

Escape 17B in progress!

We are getting our first photos of the trailer, very exciting to be at this stage. We won't pick it up until May so we can go to the rally.
It feels great to be able to add our little bit to this thread.

hilola, I received the leftover counter material (i purchased custom) from eti and had plenty to put a piece between the window and the wardrobe (17a). I loosened the screws in the backsplash (not currently available) and slipped it behind, and also behind the range hood (also not currently available). If you are getting standard formica, I bet for a small charge eti will provide you with a piece, or you can purchase your own from a home improvement place--it's not very expensive.

how you will attach it is a bit harder to imagine. putting a piece of quarter round along the back of the counter and along the bottom edge of the overhead cabinets would give you some place to anchor the piece of formica. i'm sure the more experienced modifiers here can think of other methods.

Since drilling into the thin skin of the trailer is inadvisable, I would think a possible solution might involve applying liquid nail adhesive to the back side of the splash board. Then wedge 2x4's between the the face of the splash board and the structural elements on the other side of the aisle. Just a thought experiment...

Huh? Never heard that the range hood was not available. It is in the video made by Reace and still listed as a feature on the Escape website.

That’s not the way I read it. The context of the post is about no longer having the places to secure a piece of vertical Formica.

Why does the maple interior, or rather how does the maple interior impact structural issues? Oak or maple, you still have a formica kitchen counter to which the backsplash is attached and secured with button screws along the exterior wall.
