We also specified on our build sheet that the light on the front be "above the belly band", probably based on discussion in this forum.

Wish we could have put ours high in the back because the spare tire partly blocks it. Placement in the middle is not as good but nothing else to do in both cases.

Lighting going in now so we're getting a better look at the Mediterranean Walnut-Cherry flooring (G6152) alongside the cabinetry. This was one of the more difficult choices and we're happy with how it is turning out.

Moving right along!

Our first photos were posted 8 days ago - the shell with the flooring. Amazing what has been done in just over a week. We're playing "eye spy" to try to identify what is left to do over the next two weeks!

Also looking forward to seeing the Dickinson Cook Top that we bought from Jim Bennett!

I am also looking forward to seeing the Dickinson as I am considering that vs the drop in Suburban.

Hi All,

This is my first post although I've been lurking for ages. This forum has been incredibly helpful for me and my wife as we pondered our build sheet. All the discussions and pictures were a gold mine. Thank you all!

Ultimately we decided to keep it simple and to keep the weight (and cost) down as much as possible. So we have fairly bare bones build that may not be interesting to most. Main exception to this was the extra insulation and thermal windows since that was one of the few options that couldn't reasonably be added on later.

Anyway, on to the photos - Was under the impression pictures would only be sent once a week but got the first batch yesterday and some more today.

Nothing wrong with bare bones as a bare-bones Escape beats almost everything else. Well done!

Thanks Karen!

You're right! It will definitely be a massive step up from the tent trailer we used for years. And many of the options we decided against at build time can be added later if we have a change of heart.

Final Pics "Bon Temps"

ETI just sent out our final pics as our trailer is finished and will be heading to QC. Our options included custom fabric (went with neutral fabric and will add color with accessories). 2 captain's light over bed drivers side. Drawer under wardrobe with 2 shelves, door for access to bench seat, Stainless 2 burner stovetop and exhaust to match the sink. A/C for the Texas heat. Outdoor shower (drivers side), Solar with dual 6v (no inverter), Dual Pane thermal frameless windows including bath and over sink, spray foam insulation, exterior 12v outlet, propane quick connect, storage box with LED light above, and Chrome rims.

We are very happy with our selections. A big Texas thank you to all on this forum for your insight, suggestions, etc as it was very helpful to us when it came to customizing our Escape.
