Our Escape is pretty much done. It's been a long 13 months, but it's been fun and well worth the wait (we declined to move up on the schedule). Following are pictures of the build process along with the level of effort required to build each Escape.

Note: I cloned the countertop Snapcaps in the pictures to match the countertop as we’ll be installing matching ones once we receive our Escape (we wanted to get a feel for what it might look like).

It is the Armstrong Mediterranean Walnut - Cherry (G6152)

Initially we were thinking of the Mediterranean Walnut - Natural (G6150). The first sample of the Natural looked a bit greenish with a blurry grain so we ordered a second one and it wasn't much different, so then we ordered a sample of the Cherry and everyone was happier.

It was worth ordering samples and seeing in real life.

JR Range Vent?

Has Escape officially switched to the UV-stable JR range vent? Looks like it on the last two or three trailers.

Looking good. Glad to see my previously owned cooktop go to good use.

Rjbny,
How much did Escape charge to install the Dickinson? also, I noticed the stove placement is quite a bit to the left of the wall. Did you specify the distance? I am asking because I would assume placement would be closer to the wall because of the range hood. On the other hand, you may have wanted more distance due to the higher burner output.
Also, I know you had ordered the ultra leather, any particular reason for that choice? It does like beautiful in the photos.

We didn't specify the distance but left it to ETI. There was a post about moving to the left away from the wall at the link below, so maybe that was the consideration.

As far as the Ultraleather is concerned, the main consideration was children and cleanability. We got a price only slightly higher than regular fabric and excellent service on eBay from Silverstone Fabrics (silverstonefabrics on eBay). Took the stock valences and will either re-cover them with the leftover Ultraleather or get some coordinating fabric once the trailer has been delivered and we can see it in real life.

Rotateclockwise, Thanks for sending the series of photos showing the building of the Escape 21. Our trailer should start in production early next month. We are really looking forward to seeing it's photos!!

Darned exciting!

And by the way, I truly enjoyed seeing the picture of the two gang members that you had put on a pillow. I have a similar one of my two grandsons.

Wow! Do you remember Barton when you were talking about the long wait? Not much longer now.

Yes, it has been a long time. A year? Still have around 40 days before pickup. I gave a four week notice today at my part time job. My boss refused to accept it. He said he put me in for a leave-of-absence for 6 weeks.
