Also the E2 hitch parts on the frame may or may have not been in the way. I did not check them after we decided it was not going to work.

It and the short version have the same dimensions except height.
We thought about it but could not figure a way to move it far enough back with the storage box installed to clear the jack. Maybe the 21 has a bit more room . The 19 does not.
A local Casita owner has one so I could take measurements.
It's a nice unit, just will not work for me.
Yes that's the one. Currently it's installed on our Casita. My plan is to move it to the Escape. When I was up at ETI last winter I measured the room around the propane tanks of the 21. I think it will fit, but we will see. If the utility platform doesn't fit on the Escape, I will sell it with the Casita.

As far as tongue weight, our Casita tongue weight is about 430 lbs with the generator. The generator, gas can and utility platform will add about 100 lbs to the tongue weight. I understand the tongue weight should be 10 - 15% of the trailer weight. By being careful with what I put in the front box, I should be able to keep the tongue weight of the 21 to 600 lbs or less.

That's my plan, anyway. But I may find I need to make changes.

Okay, I have to ask: What the heck is that back there? Looks like a spice rack. Not really.

They're shelves for parts and materials storage in ETI's manufacturing plant!
It's been fun looking at the build photos over time, and trying to figure out some of the background stuff.
I have one, of our trailer's second week of existence, that shows the wiring diagram for the trailer on the factory wall behind it. There's a series of nails, with felt pen lines, showing where and how to wire the loom that eventually ends up in the area behind cabinets.

Okay, so this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know where Tammy hung all the Escape owner U.S. State flags now that they are settled into their new digs? I haven't seen any photos that show them in the background since their facilities upgrade. We couldn't make the trip up, so we had 21 delivered, but we sent ETI an Alabama state flag to add to their collection because they didn't already have one. Anyway, just curious where all the owner state flags are displayed now (assuming they've had time to re-hang them)....

Boards with those features are common for manufacturing of wire harnesses so that the lengths and routings of individual wires can be pre-made prior to placing them into a product. Once the wire lengths and routings are set, it makes it much easier for manufacturing staff. I made those tools myself for a few decades for large computer interconnect wiring.

You have the same completion date we have, Aug 17. It appears that our trailer is being built in the batch before yours. Unfortunately we won't pick ours up until Aug 23.

Since you have a 5.0 TA on order note that I swapped the stove and sink location, the window follows the sink aft and they used a much smaller window than is standard on the 5.0 TA. Also, the outside passenger side shower is moved farther aft than it would be without the swap.

Makes sense the window would follow the sink, curious as to why you would swap them?

Wow! Richard, it's really coming together and looking mighty fine.

It's exciting to see your completion dates. I didn't think it would ever come along, but our completion date is Aug 30. I'll start getting photos before I know it.

Good luck on registering your trailer. Let us Texans know if you come up with a magic bullet and can get your tags before you go to Chilliwack.

Oops! I'm getting off thread. There's only about a zillion threads on Texas registration.

Looking good Richard.

I noticed in one of the photos there's a box for a GoPower inverter (GP-HS1500?) sitting in the overhead cabinet. Apparently that's the inverter they are using now instead of the Samlex.

It makes sense. The solar charger controller is a GoPower and it has a button to turn the inverter on and off.

If you order the inverter without solar, as I did, they install a standalone remote. I omitted solar because I plan to install a system like Jim Bennett's (thanks Jim!). I asked ETI to leave the inverter remote "loose" (not installed in a bench seat) so I can put it above the fridge. They're putting in three Cat5 cables from the battery area to the cabinet over the microwave. I'll use one to connect the inverter remote. I love ETI's flexibility!

Yes, as of 2016 Sept 07:

The interesting part of the picture is we are not getting either the inverter or solar. I expect that will be figured out and the box end up in somebody else's trailer. I decided to go with several 12 volt plugs and a couple of 150 watt inverters for a computer and tv. We also carry a Honda 2000i, mostly for AC in the Texas heat, but it also runs the microwave (although not concurrently) and recharges the batteries.

I have noticed that box moving through a lot of camping in production recently.

We're planning to try to pre-register our Escape Wednesday in Dallas county. I will post the results in the "How to Register a New Trailer in Texas" thread.
