2017 5.0ta

Received email from Tammy today in response to modification question I had. In her response back to me she included the following with regards to the first 2017 5.0TA.

"The first fifthwheel is now in production. We hope to have a finished unit available for viewing by December 19, 2016"

The first 5.0TA would be the demo unit and I would imagine we will start seeing pictures on Escape Forum around that time frame. Yippee Skippy!

I booked my flights a few weeks ago to be there on Dec 19. Looking forward to checking the new trailer out.

Like those brown graphics, if that is what they are. Hope you are going up the coast!

They do look kinda brown in the pic - it's suppose to be "gold". I'm really spooked about going to Canada in January! This old Texas boy don't do snow. I plan to take I10 to California then I5 up to Chilliwack. With a 4x4 truck, I'm hoping it won't be too bad. Coming back with the trailer is another story. I bought the best WDH I could afford with anti-sway and if there is any snow, I plan to just wait it out until the roads are cleared.

On that route, the only snow you are likely to encounter is between Ashland and Grant's Pass, OR. Perhaps some around Shasta. Most of I-5 from Eugene, OR north is in a temperate climate. Lots of rain, not much snow.

You will do fine. Sounds like you have planned it out well, and being willing to wait of and bad conditions is wise.

My pick up is in January too. I wish I got to head south instead of east across a few mountain ranges. I too will be sitting out any real foul weather.

It's only Thursday but we got our final batch of pictures!
Actually we got two batches of pictures. When I looked at the pictures in the first email something seemed strange. My thought process was something like this:
"Did they stop putting the numbers on the rock guard?"
"Boy, the lighting is weird, the graphics look kind of orange."
"Wait, the counter tops are black?"
"O.K. I know we didn't order a u-shaped dinette."
"Nice looking, but this is definitely not our trailer."

Anyway here are the right ones from the second email. Probably boring for some to look at, as we went with all the stock colors. Color-wise the only change we made was the optional (no charge) black Counter trim.

One of the advantages with the stock colours (which are just fine) is that it leaves room in the budget for more of the other options.
