Just got our final build photos! We are SO excited! Unfortunately, we'll have to come back down to Texas (we didn't initially plan to) to have the Auto Theft Task Force inspect the trailer (even with the mountain of paperwork it'll come with), but our full-timing adventure will start shortly after that!

Your counters and floors and fabric are right on and brighten it up. Too bad there is not an option to get something besides the traditional wood for the cabinets. I asked but got a definite no.

Paint? Wallpaper? If it doesn't work for you, there are other options....

I'm loving the green too - my favorite color! I also like the white counter tops. We've seen a lot of the dark countertops lately and I like that too, but love the brighter look as well. Thanks for sharing!

I get that but it would be nicer to have the factory option I don't think redos work that well. I was in a lovely brand new German sailboat I chartered in BC a couple of years ago ( a Hanse for all you sailors) with nice white cabinets etc and that is what sticks in my mind. Looked very bright and open for a relatively small space. Anyway I will be very happy with my new unit once I get it.

Hugh, I thoroughly understand. One of the best BigFoot trailers I've been inside was a 21' with pickled white cabinets. Wood, but white. It was bright compared to the brown we are used to seeing... add more pillows!

I've seen several Hanse's in the Med. and they are a nice yacht but, for me, white interiors leave me cold. Literally, on a damp day I feel like I'm in a fridge. I'm too much of a traditionalist, only wood interiors for me.

Ron,
Is that a picture of your boat? Whoa! What kind of boat is that? One you built? Looking forward to talking boats with you! You bring the camp fire .... I'll bring the beer.

Hanse

I wish I could build a boat like that. It was a 41 foot Hanse chartered out of Sidney, BC. Beautiful sailboat with all the bells and whistles. we were the third trip out so it was like brand new. This year we have a 42 foot Beneteau ready to go on October 8 around the Gulf Islands.

I sailed for three weeks in the BVI on a wooden boat with the traditional wooden interior and I've had enough of the traditional dark wood interior. To each their own.

I couldn't agree more, Ron. I just love nice wood interiors. White is just too institutional looking for me. I don't mind colour at all, but at least a cream, light brown, orange tones, something warm. But like Hugh said, to each their own, it would certainly be boring if we all liked and had the same things.

The yacht we were on this spring was an older re purposed wood boat, with beautiful wood interiors. The Yacht - Alaska Yacht Cruises and Charters Aboard Alaskan Song - Crewed Yacht Charters in Alaska

No, it's not my boat. It's the one, that when it was moored near me, I aspired to have. It's a Jongert, made in the Netherlands. Didn't have a photo of the pilot house boat that I built and that photo showed what a wood finish looks like in comparison to a white interior. Part of the reason I built a pilot house boat, aside from being able to helm from the inside in the nasty North Pacific weather, was that the lounging and cooking areas are bright, even with the wood trim.

Actually I was surprised at how close the boat I built and this one were. From the teak and holly sole, to the single pedestal table , interior helm and galley area. Maybe it was a case of the grass is always greener....and I shouldn't have been so envious

And yes, even me, the wood lover will admit there can be a case of too much of a good thing. Friends had an Ocean 71. Lovely boat, but filled with dark wood and but with no pilot house and larger windows, it did feel like it was a case of too much wood.

Now, I've gotten kinda addicted to these It's Friday trailer pics and we've only had Tims, Marys, and Don and Theresa's in Sept. Thank you to the three of you for posting, your trailers are awsome! Now I don't know how many trailers are on the line but got to be more than three. I need more pics
I promise, we'll post our pics when ours starts......

I guess it's possible there are folks in line who are not on Escape Forum

Doesn't seem likely.

I agree with you, Greg: seeing the pics of the other trailers was very interesting, while we waited for Our build to commence. It helped to see how things look and figure out what to expect. Even the early (baby) pics, wch show basic construction. Never dull - at
least not to me!

They build a trailer a day. That is what Reace just told me. Most people are not on this forum and then few others post the photos. Looking forward to yours!
