Cheryl,
We both have the same tow vehicle, I averaged 12 mpg on my 6000+mile trip to Osoyoos and back. Did you keep any record of before and after towing?

Even with my little Dodge Dakota, with a 4.7L V8, I'm getting about 13.5 towing my 19 (some flat, some hills) and about 19 highway not towing. Was hoping for better. The change to synthetic oil helped some too.

Charlie,

What is the small black box above the fridge next to the tank monitors? I am thinking if seeing if ETI could put the water heater switch there as well. And maybe a trimetric battery monitor. That way all the switches/ monitors would be in one place.

I believe that is the EMS remote read out, next to the tank monitors. The w/h switch is on the side of the nightstand, next to the water heater, in the 21' Escape. I assume ETI can also place your Tirmetric there but there maybe limits on the solar display due to wiring.

Leon,

Yup, that's the EMS readout. I saw some earlier photos where it was mounted under the fridge on the 21 but thought I'd rather not stand on my head to read it.........

Skylark — week 1

Just got an email from Erin @ Escape. Our 21 entered production on Weds. for delivery on Sept. 25. We got two photos of the bare shell. But assuming that others might find them useful or interesting, here they are. Looking forward to next week!

Has to be. Won't fit through the door, so its placed inside before the shell halves are joined.

Leon, you certainly did not wait long to upgrade! Sounds like the perfect trip.

Donna knows all about the building and lots more. She is a go-to person.

Well, longer than some, right Jim?

We are looking forward to having a bit more room for the two of us, especially on those rainy days when we spend more time in doors than we would like.

I'm very excited about the Skylark because when they come west to pick it up they will drop off the Lark for me! I mostly will travel alone so the Lark has plenty of room for me and my dogs.

Tash

Your dinette does look very nice. Your seat cushions look thicker and have a sculpted edge to them. Did you design that as an upgrade?

Every time I see build pics I marvel that they exist. Can you imagine Casita or some other manufacturer showing the build process in such detail? Makes you think they may have something to hide...
