We did the same as Jim and after taking the table on one trip it now stays home.

SWOON! I love my lounge (U-shape, no table), but I'm a single traveler. My buds Dave&Kathie have a 21', and the big table, they love their arrangement as much as I love mine.

So... it get's down to YOU! Your wants/needs. I'm 100% happy with my decision, don't make that YOUR decision.

(I have a full table for my U-shape dinette... the table is stored under my daugher's bed in my sticks 'n bricks home. I hope it stays there )

This is so much fun! I love Friday pics. I get excited for everyone that's waiting to pick up. How can you not be excited? I remember those days of early build pictures and I STILL get excited.

Good for you!

This IS exciting, Donna! I'm coming out to Portland with the pups the first week of March and will be visiting with my son and his wife, my aunt and uncle and cousins and other friends for a week before picking mine up. Not sure how I ended up with so many Midwestern relatives in Portland except that it's a beautiful city! Then a good friend is flying out to help me drive it home after we pick it up on March 16. We have an 8-day trip planned down the OR and CA coasts to Joshua Tree NP and Bosque del Apache and wherever else we have time for.

Nindy, Missouri is a long way from Oregon. Is there anyway we can hookup for a beverage (iced tea?) while you are in MY home state? Would love to meet you... you may never pass this way again...

I love the look of the U shaped dinette with no table but I wonder... Do you always eat outside? Or maybe you have a portable table you pull in when the weather is bad? And um, if you like to spend an hour or 2 on your laptop surfing the web at night, where would you do that?

I eat inside and cook inside. Stooge tables in the dinette works for me. Maybe a folding table (TV tray) if you're a single traveler and extra folks show up? I had three folks inside Ten Forward for dinner when it was POURING rain. Two set in the dinette (plates on the Stooges), I set in the aisleway on a cooler (I was eating a steak!) It still worked well for ME (US).

My mother was a professional interior decorator... she told me years ago, never purchase a home with guests in mind. I purchased my ETI build for me... not someone "else" that shows up ocassionally. YMMV

Good input Donna. It got me thinking. Not sure what a stooge table is, but I'm guessing it would be pretty easy to pop in a pedestal table when you want to eat and have the luxury of enjoying that beautiful lounge area the rest of the time? Probably that's what a stooge table is?

In my case it would almost always just be my husband and I.

I'm not certain where the term "stooge" table came from... let's blame Jim but the third pic here show you what I'm talking about, direct link: http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...html#post81327

Permenently mounted small tables on the walls. How else can we describe something called "stooge"? They're great, out of the way when you don't need them, readily accesible when you do.. for the U-Shape dinette fans!

I call them flip-up tables but are they exactly the same size as the one at the door of our 19'? ModJim's looks bigger but maybe the photo has distorted it.

"Flip Up" is what they do. Readily accesible when you need them, out of the way when you don't. Nothing to STORE! Which is important to ME. I'm still trying to figure out the best place to put my socks...

Let's get back to Friday Pics and the excitement for new owner builds!

The table and leg mounts are being provided by excape, just not installed. I plan to either add folding legs to provided table or make a complete new one. Imagine a small folding card table sized to be used for two to eat on but small enough to slide out of the way. Not sure where it will end up but the fun part is getting there!

Got my first pics. Guess the WhoDat Cruiser has hatched. Of course, there is no difference between these pics and hundreds of others, but they are mine!
