I wonder why ETI is not making the bath door shorter like they do in the 21'?

That could be because the bathroom door is nearly directly across from the doorway and ETI is thinking privacy issues, since anyone sitting on the throne.. you'd see their feet if outside looking in. Maybe?

Frankly, I'm glad it's not shorter.

The steps look a bit high, wonder if they are the same as the previous 5?

No, they're different steps. There are now three! It doesn't look like the steps are complete in Alf's trailer.

Maybe they're trying to preserve the adventure of going to bed in an Escape...climb over your partner in the 19 or take a running jump at the bed in the new TA.

Hi: lefttee... Best thing about the 5.0's is you have a hard time getting out of the wrong side of the bed!!! Alf

If you get a good night's sleep, there's no wrong side of the bed.

I'm having three switches also in my 5er. One for the outside passenger light only, one for the three other outside lights and one for all the inside lights.

All of my exterior lights are on a single switch, with an individual on/off switch at each light. The inside ceiling light switch is now an option for the switch.

That's a good idea. I wish I'd thought of that.

Ok, it's not Friday, it's Monday, but, we were camping this weekend and just got home. I did get to see our first set of build pictures on my phone. That device is not suitable (at least when operated by me) for posting on the forum. So, here are some late build photos to keep the interest up until Friday. Ours is a 21' mixed in with the new 5.0 TA's.

I love seeing my trailer "naked", makes it easy to understand why things are what they are. Thanks for posting….

Keager; What train is that? It looks like the Bullet Lounge on the VIA Canadian.

It is indeed the Canadian. That particular photo was taken Westbound somewhere in Ontario. We rode the Canadian both ways from Vancouver to Toronto and directly back to Vancouver over an 8 day period a couple of years ago. We left for that trip from Bandon. I was chatting with Tammy at the rally and casually mentioned that while in Vancouver we were going to pop out to Toronto for lunch by train. The look of horror on her face was priceless as she asked if we knew how far that was ...

A lot has happened since last week when we received our build pictures. We received our paperwork from Tammy on Tuesday and today after a medium wait at our local DMV office in Delray Beach, FL we have the registration and title for the trailer. Of course Florida loves this type of transaction because of the 6% sales tax and other fees they collect.

The plan is to head out in the next few days so we can arrive in Chilliwack by 5/28 for the hitch to be installed.

We're not exactly planning a route other than heading Northwest after a family visit in Kentucky. There is so much of the U.S. that we have not seen and we want to eventually see most of it.

See you at Nk'Mip,

Bob and Sue
