I like your flooring too .... beautiful! May I ask what it is and why don't you like E Z lubes? Think I remember a thread some time ago but have forgotten. I'm at the end of my build sheet...... and why do I have so many questions now that my sheet is due in a week?

I don't need E Z lubes. Instead of blindly pumping grease into fittings and hoping that it makes everything better, I have my bearings inspected and repacked with fresh grease every couple years.
My bearings are now seven years old and original and in great shape.
I place my confidence in a visual inspection.

It is Armstrong X2A73, however, there are different names for exactly the same flooring. Someone else used it on an Escape and it happens to go with the fabric and counters we are getting. Pioneer Building Supply in Chilliwack ordered it and they keep it until Escape picks it up at installation time. It is also less expensive than many.

There was just a discussion on Fiberglassrv about EZ Lube. A guy there says he tells people not to use EZ Lube because he has seen so many people put in too much grease and ruin the seals and brakes.

Trailer Life says to repack bearings once a year or every 10,000 miles and Dexter says every year or 12,000 miles. In other words, no reason to put grease in if you are going to re-pack anyway. There are many people, however, who are on no such schedule and do their own bearings only every few years, or want to have someone else do them only rarely. We use RV shops. We want the bearings re-packed every spring, so no reason for us to have EZ Lube. Some say EZ Lube is suited to boat owners because of the water. The seals need to be checked which is not done if someone only puts in grease. See Glenn's explanation above.

Good luck with the build sheet!

I'm wondering if they use different seals in the Ez lube. I have them and mine were just checked last week at 17k miles after 17 months and bearings, brakes, tires all looked like new, less than 1/32 gone on tires.
Now if we continue this side track issue I'll have to start a new thread.

Congratulations!

The pace of things really picks up once you get those first pictures.

Crank it up Jim Had two seals bad with EZ lube(which I will never use) after 8 months and about 14K miles.
Edit: my tires aren't faring as well either; they're 4 ply FYI.

Escape 21'
I used to look at others' photos rather carefully, I thought, but I see so much more with ours that I did not notice!

We thought this was a new water set-up until we realized it is the shower. Hope there is a hose with it.
