Had a brief discussion with Reace when Vicki and I visited the factory. YEP he had run out of some baggage doors... dang vendors anyway. I just didn't know if you had opted for an interior hatch under the loft (Classic!) Either way, she's beautiful Alf... I know, because I saw your Escape Hatch II.. in person!

Great pictures all. Really loving the pics of that new 5.0TA. Too bad there is no room in my yard for more trailers.

Escape Artist: what happened to the large wardrobe closet, it looks a lot smaller than the opening did?

Hi: Chapitre... Some of it was the exterior access hatch for the landing gear controls. Some of that is behind the steps to the loft. The new wardrobe closet is still larger than the old one in the 5.0. Alf

The new 5er is getting three steps to the loft too. Where the "Classic" had just two. AND, they are hinged at the "back."

THANKS Tammie for that introduction to the steps!

And Stargeezer, are you getting some sort of "hutch" with shelves instead of a cupboard next to the refrigerator?

It looks like the furnace is now under the "cupboard" next to the refrigerator instead of under the dinette?

I'm getting dizzy looking at these wonderful pictures. OMG I love Friday!
Alf's explanation on the upper hatch is right. Because we pick ours up next week, the door is already installed. However, by the time Alf picks his up (June 3rd), the door will have been added. All 5.0 TA's will have this.

Regarding the "hutch" Donna... ours will have a door as seen in Alf's picture as well.

And yes, the furnace has been moved to the centre of the trailer from the dinette area.

Larry

Hi: padlin... I am also in the non thermal window camp. We haven't had them in our present 5.0 and find condensation to be minimal. An imitation chamois takes care of that.
I drove transit bus for nearly 20 yrs. and thermal windows on them looked more like thin fish bowls with water sloshing to& fro. When the seals fail they fog up inside and collect moisture like a trough!!! Alf

NOW YOU TELL ME. Too late, my soon-to-be 5er has non-opening double-panes in the loft. That's fine, truly. If everything goes to $#@%^ I'm fortunate to live about 15 miles from an RV window manufacturer that can/will build me exactly what I want.

I'm not concerned.

The big thing for me (as a currently single-paned window all molded towable owner) was to get away from condensation during the shoulder and winter season(s).

Love the excitement and photos. We pick our 19' up this coming Wednesday. I feel like a kid at Christmas trying to sleep.

Hi guys,

W'll keep you posted on that but we can say the deal is closed.
