The rear dinette is about the same depth on the 17 and 5ther. When keeping in mind that the 5ther is wider, we used your build pictures to decide that we can't afford a U-dinette in the back with 4 people.

I am so guilty of sending ETI pictures I got from this forum to say "I want that!" instead of using my words.

Hey, if it works for YOU.. it works for US. The only perfect ETI build is the one for the original owner. I'm HAPPY with mine, may you feel exactly the same.

What a difference a few weeks make

Oh my gosh, there she is sitting between two siblings, a big brother on one side and may be her twin sister on the other. It looks like all that’s left to do is install the fridge and cushions and then a good wash when I pick her up next month. What a difference for the beginning.

From one form of excitement to another.

Only one photo this week

First time I've seen this view. Crystal said more photos of the interior will arrive as soon as she can get inside.
On another note, our check finally arrived at ETI on Wed. Jan. 7 after departing Port Townsend post office on Dec. 12.

Me, too. And I don't get it. I don't see any hoist above the structure nor any mechanical part to the support structure. Is that "thing" on the floor a lift that lifts the whole platform into place wherein it is secured by bolts to the support frame?

It surely beats a "crawl under" to do the work on the underside of the trailer!

That looks like a 4-post lift. The trailer is parked on a platform; the platform (which is just two wheel ramps in a frame) goes down close to ground level and runs up the posts to the desired height for work. Each post is a three-sided box and you can see on the post on the left side of the photo that the corner of the platform at that post extends into the post where it is lifted (normally by chains). This is one of two designs commonly used in auto service shops.

Although the ramps can get in the way, for most underside jobs on a trailer I agree that it would be great, such as work on the tanks and plumbing.

Thanks, Brian, for the info.

I like it! It goes really well with the white appliances and brighten up the interior of the trailer. I was leaning towards a light color interior but we changed out the cooktop, so we *have to* change the sink/hood to stainless. One thing leads to another we decided on a black counter top to match the ss.

And you'll absolutely love it. I've seen really dark laminate in these trailers and it looks lovely.

ETI uses the lift when applying the underside spray foam.
