My 19 Escape had awning windows in bath and kitchen, if the awning is not deployed as in storms, the awning window allows some air without too much water. The 21 Escape are all sliders. I have to use my stove vent in rain storms for a source of air.I clip it open, no water.

The 5.0TA only has the egress window as a flipper window. I'm with Jim, open the stove vent for air if the awning isn't deploy. OR, the bathroom window (option), who cares if rain comes in, it's a wet bath.

Re: the sliding vs awning kitchen window. I had not even thought of the rain issue. Shouldn't matter if the awning is deployed. How about the bathroom window? Anyone know if it's sliding or awning? Bigger issue on that side of the trailer.

Trolling through the various threads on this forum has been VERY helpful to us throughout the ordering and build process. As we are rookie RVers, there is still much to learn. Thanks to all who have posted.

Cheers,

Eric
Diana--great job on the interior counter tops, beautiful! It makes a difference to have your "rode abode" as you like. Eric, Jenny is right about the kitchen window for a 19--it is an awning style based on the recent build photos. The bathroom window is a slider. I asked for an awning window to be placed there, but that option is no longer available. We plan to put some rubber V gutters over the windows that would benefit from it, but if the bath gets a little wet, we can certainly live with it. Just nice to have the BR ventilation option

You are so right about this forum and the members who contribute to it. We had great advice from friends who have Escapes and from ETI, but received an amazing amount of info from the forum posts. Still learning--lots of support for us newbies!

All the best and hope to meet y'all at Osoyoos.
Peace~Gae

Good lookin' trailer, Ian! We incorporated some of the same features in our trailer as well--some of which were your suggestions. I felt like we were almost looking at our photos, only we haven't gotten those particular views yet. Excited for you and wish you many happy times in you new Escape!

When we first got Bailey home and had a big rain storm, I checked her out and found 3 plus inches of water in the bathroom ! The drain was closed and the window open! I no longer leave her bathroom window open or the drain closed when sitting in the driveway!!! Felt lucky the water didn't overflow the bathroom!

Wow--glad you didn't have any "spillage" Thanks for the reminder: if you're going to leave the window open, leave the drain open. I think I'll try to remember to shut the window, just in case~
Peace,
Gae
