Maiden Voyage - Kearsley Creek

We wanted to keep our first trip with our new Escape local, plus we're towing newbies. We booked Kearsley Creek as it was only a 20 minute drive. The Sorento held up fine on the 9km of gravel forest roads, but failed miserably climbing a hill less than a block from our house when it got stuck in 1st gear. Overall we were very pleased with the Escape and our dogs loved the three days straight of swimming. Hopefully as time passes our towing anxiety will subside :-)

additional 2 photos. Looked away for 5 minutes, and found our golden sleeping on the picnic table. Wasn't impressed, but it was still cute :P

That water had to be COLD!!!!!!! Bet that was not the first furry creature on top of the picnic table. Our dogs LOVE camping so sure you will have many other wonderful journeys ahead.

Enjoy the journey.

As I have previously stated. A nice dog sleeping on a picnic table is extremely minor when compared to the spectrum of distasteful things that occur on pubic picnic tables. Hence the market for and use of, table cloths. Glad to hear you and your dogs had fun.

It was very cold, but the dogs certainly didn't mind!

This is very true, I found this campground to have little to no dog rules, so I think ours were the only ones on leads. So I'm sure it wouldn't have been frowned upon by the hosts.
