Tool box, extra storage, BBQ inside or all of the above attached with bumper supports?

The tool box was a garage sale find without a specific purpose so I started thinking (that's when the trouble always begins). It was a hassle to pull the blocks, chalks, water container, hose, stabilizer crank, etc. from inside the trailer or side compartment.

So, I removed the spare and relocated it under the bed. I made a spring loaded constant tension brace that traps it against the floor so it cannot bounce. Then I used the spare mount to support the back of the box, the bumper hitch receiver to support the front, and two side mounts to stabilize it. I did not drill any holes in the bumper. I added some tail/brake lights even though the standard lights are still mostly visible.

It works very well. Everything to level, unhitch, and move water is easy to use. The box doubles as a work bench or a place to wash dishes when closed.

Because the box is small, it self regulates to keep it from getting too heavy. Most of what is inside is lightweight anyway. Now it does not matter if the blocks get muddy as all the mess stays outside the trailer.

Very inventive idea. I too have thought of moving the tire elsewhere, so I could mount bikes, or whatever) closer to the trailer to reduce bounce. I have pretty much utilized the space under the bed unfortunately, but could maybe rearrange a bit.
