Re: furnace, Atwood provided a 90 degree diffuser to shoot the heat forward. Originally the furnace was under the foot of the bed, but that presented a safety issue (bed covers and air vents) so it went back to the rear with a diffuser. I plan on installing an electric heater under the bed as an alternate. It will be on the bath side vs the foot of the bed.

Sorry if this an ignorant question...wouldn't it be better to have a heater midway in the rig, say in the kitchen area? Would that not better balance the space heated?

I asked the same with Escape and they said it had to be there. I suggested on the back wall with the "U" shaped dinette, but the spare was in the way. We will see.

Jim listed them as "2 Counter extensions - one on fridge wall and one on stove wall in dinette area - centered on wall - same height as table" in his build sheet. It is the last item on his 9/28/13 post.

They are already on my build sheet ...

Move the closet up and put it under there. You would loose one of the upper cabinets but hey ....... do you think you'll run out of storage space?

Barry
Barry,

I was worried about the furnace too but on our shakedown run it was fine, even when I was sitting in front of it. The trailer was nice and toasty and not too hot (we have the extra insulation and thermopane windows also). Outside temps in the 40's.

Kathie

PS Jim - your trailer is looking great - one more day!!
