Given that the very largest auto manufacturers in the world often make minor adjustments after the first year of production of a new model, it should not be surprising that Escape has similarly tweaked new designs until they are "mature". Some people would rather wait until these tweaks are done, and I don't think mentioning that is in any way unfair to ETI.

Hey Brian, might you be comparing GM's latest "safety tweak" to ETI's production record?

No. You are mistaken. I'm talking about option availability, body panel and interior changes (usually at a "refresh" or "facelift" after about two model years), and mechanical changes.

For an example of the latter, my first-year-of-model Toyota Sienna had a couple of changes soon after production, including the construction of the radiator and installation method for a power steering hose - both passed extensive testing and posed no problem for the vast majority of owners, but a few had problems so these components were changed.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the u shaped dinette in this 5.0 the same size as it would be in a 17. If it is can someone tell me what size the table is.

The 5.0 is no longer being offered by ETI. It was replaced by the new 5.0 tandem axle. which mirrors the Escape 21 from the kitchen rearward.
