Re: "The Other TV"

We are having our 19 made cable-ready at the dinette end, but no TV mount will be installed. Hubby plans to get a TV tuner to add to his laptop, and we will watch cable TV or DVDs on the laptop. The laptop will be going on all our trips anyway for other purposes, and TV is not a very big part of our lives, even at home. When we were making this decision (TV or no TV), Tammy told us she did not recommend leaving a TV installed on the mount while traveling. That made it even easier to give up the TV since we'll have one less thing to dismantle and store each time we are towing. --Liz

We had a flat screen combo TV/DVD (12volt), and had it mounted on the arm. But, like you said, it had to be put up/down each time...and finally, it stopped working one day. So, we do the laptop DVD player with headphones (when we use it) and a 12v/110 converter if the batt gets low. We seldom use it, but when we do, we're glad we have it.

Re: "The Other TV"

I purchased a 12V 19" LED TV for $164.00 from http://www.electronicexpress.com/cat...ersonic-SC1911

It comes with an AC adapter but not the 12V. So I went to Radio Shack and purchased a DC power adapter that fit the TV for $21.00 and everthing works perfectly.

Re: "The Other TV"

Hi: All...We use the TV more on the bookshelf in the den, at home, than in the trailer during camping season. Once the campfire dies down we seem to want to go from bed to verse!!! Alf

howdy i have the tv set up similar to you---mount screwed into the fridge wall corner. the mount has a disconnect lever which allows you to remove the t.v from the mount. i would suggest that the t.v be dismounted and laid on the bed for travelling. the constant bouncing up and down when travelling will eventually loosen the mounting bracket which wiil allow the t.v to fall to the bed.meaning you will have to remount the bracket to make it secure again. since a special block has to be put in place at the time of manufacturing this will affect the ability to remount in a fashion that will allow the tv to fit to your satisfaction.
