We had a flat screen combo TV/DVD (12volt), and had it mounted on the arm. But, like you said, it had to be put up/down each time...and finally, it stopped working one day. So, we do the laptop DVD player with headphones (when we use it) and a 12v/110 converter if the batt gets low. We seldom use it, but when we do, we're glad we have it.
