The video is under the "files" section available for download.

I noticed the other day that there is a new video on the ETI site. Is it the same video in the Files section here? Or is the one in Files the video that I did in 2008 ( also up on YouTube )?

Unless Tammy has changed her name to Dave, it is new.

I did notice that he lights the stove with a BBQ lighter. Do they not have piezo ignition?

In an email from Tammy:
"The stove is propane and you will require an ignitor such as a match or lighter to light it. I know some of our US customers have been able to purchase an electronic switch which will allow them to light the stove with an electronic ignition. However, these are not CSA approved or available in Canada."

Another reason to like the SMEV/Dometic stove/sink combo I got them to install, it does have the electronic ignition. Not a real biggie though.

Surprised they would install something not CSA approved. Perhaps the standard changed over time?

Mine is definitely CSA approved, otherwise they would not have installed it. They were installing these units in the Trilliums they were building for Tom Young for a short time.

I am guessing that post refers to retrofitting an igniter into the stoves that Escape uses.

Okay, like a retrofit perhaps, that makes sense.

The reason for my surprise, is that even my outside stove has piezo ignition, as well as my BBQ, and I had just assumed the interior ones did too.

Actually, now that you mention, my stove does have the ignitor, but it is part of the oven/stove combo. The drop in stove in my 19 did not have an ignitor.

Getting back to my question which spawned this recent discussion:

I would like to download the video but when I click on the DOWNLOAD button in the FILES Section of this Forum, it just plays the video. No indication of any download.
I want to download it to an iPad or a laptop so I can use it offline....any suggestions. Am I just doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Maybe there is a simpler way, but I would follow this link to YouTube, and there you can click the share button under the video, and send it to your email.

I just gave that a try...but I still need to be online in order to view it...it does not allow me to save the video to my PC...
