Yes. Thought it was sold last week-end but buyer changed mind about buying a trailer at all.

That was a profile comment made by another forum member, who was waiting for paint for his deck. I'm selling because I have an Escape 19 on order for November delivery.

Yikes Gilbert! You just drove up here and wham bam?

Forum members that have been around for awhile are very helpful and sincere when it comes to their Escape. If there were any problems, I have no doubt that It would have been noted.

Sorry for the interruption SC...that just struck me as........

OK, so what's it take to get more interest in this sweet trailer? Do I need to discuss price? Offer to deliver? Or is everyone shopping for 19s and up these days? It would nice to get it in someone's hands during the main camping season, although in California that's pretty much all year.

Try pictures on this forum, on location, in the Grand Tetons ( or wherever ). Then you can post the link to your other pix.
And, I think you might need to reconsider your asking price. But what do I know?

I made money on mine in the past week when I looked at my registration and insurance and found that I have a 2009, when I thought it was a 2008, since that's when I bought it.

Ah, yes…selling the sizzle, not the steak. Guess that "escaped" me! Good point.

Wow Glenn, I knew Escape trailers hardly depreciate, but somehow you made yours appreciate! How nice

I haven't looked, but have you advertised on Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale and FiberglassRV.com ?

I've actually had more interest from FGRV, but I guess that makes sense, since they have a larger member base.

It is $3500.00 more than a brand new one. And $3500 buys a lot of extras. Plus, I would imagine you want US dollars.

Well...at a base price of CA$22,500 for a 2015, and adding the extras I put on on it (see build list), I came up with CA $28,515, which at today's exchange rate is US $26,500, I figured I'm in the ballpark.

Keep working at selling it. Show lots of pictures and advertise on all of the FG sites as well as Craigslist. It is worth what people are willing to pay for it. If you don't get any interest in a reasonable time period with good advertising exposure, then that is a good indicator that you may need to drop your price a bit. I find that a small price reduction with a revised ad stating "PRICE REDUCED", often makes a huge difference in getting people interested.

Santacruzer:
My wife and I are interested in a 17B. While your trailer is undoubtedly very well equipped, it has several options that we do not think we need (and would not order if we were buying one new. Among these options are the 3-burner stove and air conditioning. Further, regarding the solar panel, while we would buy one, Escape is currently offering a 160w, where your trailer only has a 95w. Thus, while your price is fair for the options you have, it is close enough to the new price that if we decide to buy, we would prefer to order a new trailer and get exactly the options that we want. While your trailer is available now, while Escape is sold out until next year, we own a Tab and so don't have the urgency to buy immediately. Your price would have to be considerably less than new for us to be interested. Perhaps your apparent lack of response to your trailer is due to others viewing your price as we do. Good luck and best wishes in selling it!
