Argh! It got away...

Yesterday, just to expand my search for a used 19' or 21' Escape or Bigfoot, I checked out the Seattle Craigslist. Up popped a listing for a like new 2011 Escape 19. The listing had been posted 5 days earlier. I immediately contacted the seller- the new owner had just pulled it out of his driveway 15 minutes earlier! I just have to remember, patience is a virtue...

This is very true. I have had this happen a bunch of times in the past. We are looking to 'right size' our home, but slacked off following the market for a bit. When looking we found a listing that seemed to be near perfect for what we wanted. The next day we drove by to see a Sold sticker being put on the sign. Oh well, we shall remain vigilant, and like you, will some day find what we want.

I'm ready to jump quickly now: cash in hand, covered storage pending, and insurance ready!

It's always nice to be prepared but we've been in the same situation several times and then something didn't work out, sort of put the effort aside and then, wham, out of nowhere something pops up. And sometimes it's better than "the one that got away" and you say, "I'me glad we didn't get the other one."

Good luck,

Ron

Good deals sure go fast. We are pretty picky though, and will wait it out. It won't likely be spring until I can get all I need to done, in order to list our place.

Where I live, had a 2008 Casita 17' pop up on Craigs List the other morning for $13,500. It was gone by that afternoon. Snooze you lose, I guess. You can't get hurt too bad buying one of the trailers (Casitas, Escapes, or Scamps), even new.
