There were two 19's that sold used in your area this past year. One in Illinois and another in Wisconsin. There may be more that I missed. The pool is pretty small, I calculate there are eleven of them from Ohio to Nebraska and north. If you broaden your reach from that area it will help but the eight states I am counting in means unless you look in the North West there are not that many out there. That said, it only takes one and it helps to keep asking. Realize that this thread will be buried in all the new postings in ten days and not seen.

Other ideas, beside bumping your post (if you do not know what that means you can send me a personal message)are: contacting Escape, posting something in the for sale section of this forum and watching the FiberglassRV forum.

Good luck and welcome to the Escape forum.

Welcome Larry,
If you can why not come to the Escape Rally in Osoyoos, last year there were over 100 there and you can see them all. See here for details http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...ally-4781.html

We are looking at the new ones and deciding if we want to take the plunge. That being said if a used one became available we would be interested.

The nice thing about the rally is that ETI's owners, Tammy and Reace will also be there to answer any questions and maybe even accept your down payment.

I'd ask, why a 19' over maybe a 21' or a 17'... more information helps us help you.

The Fiberglass RVs for Sale site is mostly filled with listings collected from other sites, which is a nice convenience for buyers, but means there will be occasional mistakes. The admin of that site probably pulled your ad from here, and incorrectly marked it sold; if it were my trailer, I would contact the admin and ask for a correction to the listing.

Thanks Brian B-P. I just sent a message to the admin as you suggested. It looks as though there are several scams on this site.

You're right. Scamp, Casita and others are actively working the site with scam alerts because they're so prevalent.

As a general rule it is EASY not to get scammed though if you follow a few simple rules:

1- Never buy sight unseen
2- Dont make shipping arrangements for a trailer you haven't seen
3 - Beware of ads with no details and a very low price
4 - Never send money without inspecting, verifying and taking the trailer with you
5 - Google search the contact information in the Ad. They may have scammed before.

19 seems like the right size but also looking at the 21. We will have kayaks on the rook of our tow vehicle and are afraid the 21 is to heavy.

There's only a 500 lb difference in the two. It will depend on your tow vehicle, but for it's size, the 21 is incredibly light -- like all Escapes.

If you are selling, we always put in the add:

Please, no scammers, no paypal, and note that the item will not be released until your certified cheque is cleared through our bank.

This statement seems to eliminate almost all of the scammers.
