Model 15a Escape

My wife and I are desperately looking for an Escape 15a for sale. I know how hard these are to come by, so we decided to throw it out there and see if there's any replies. We currently live in Canmore, Alberta, but are homeless as of Aug 1st, so we'll be camping until we can find what we're looking for. We're also traveling Westbound and would be willing to drive basically anywhere to pick one up. Thanks for hosting this forum, it's AMAZING. I'll be checking it daily. Best wishes to all and happy traveling.

Not a 15 footer, but I saw a 17A for sale in Victoria on Craigslist. It was posted about 3 weeks ago, so not sure if it's still available ? Good luck - we've been searching for a good 17B for some time now.

Thank you, I didn't think to try Craigslist as well, I will. Good luck on your search also. Unfortunately, we can't pull a 17. What about that fellow in Prince Gorge with the 17B? Did he find a buyer already?

Cheers.

What is your tow vehicle?
I ask because the specs list 190 lbs. dry hitch weight for the 15 and 250 for the 17. My 17 hitch weight is actually 320 once you fill the dual propane tanks.
"Dry weights" are before such things as batteries, propane, water etc. are added.

I was also wondering because almost any tow vehicle that can tow a loaded 15 would be able to tow a 17 because they are so close in weight and you will need a 3,500 pound capacity. Also the tongue weight on our 15 is 350 which also requires a 3,500 pound tow capacity. All of the trailers end up heavier than listed dry weights.

Our 17B fully loaded weighs approx. 3150 lbs. - Tongue weight we try to keep between 330 & 340.

And, as some have rightly pointed out to me here, don't get a trailer to match your TV, get a TV to match your trailer. TV's come and go -- but hopefully, the trailer does not.
