Wanted -17b
Hi,
Just checking if there are any 17B's for sale out there - must have full bathroom and hot water tank. The next qualifier is the tough one - must be within my price range (maximum $14,000 and ideally between $10 and 12,000) I think not but thought I would post just in case - a girl can dream.
I may have to just save my pennies and get a new Escape down the road (or wait until there are more used ones available) and try out a Bigfoot until that time.
I am in BC in the Kootenays but could do a day's drive for the right trailer. I am close to MT,WA, ID and AB.
Please PM me if you have anything.
Thanks.

Hi - welcome. There are used ones for sale here sometimes and Reace and Tammy sometimes have them at the factory. BUT, I don't think you will find one for sale at the price range you mentioned - they seem to hold their value quite well.

If you wait a few years you will find one in your price range.

Too bad, that is about the best deal I have seen for a used Escape. Keep saving those pennies, and someday your dreams will come true.

kootenaigirl, if you wait six or eight months or so, there could be some 17Bs going up about the time the 21' comes out.

Hi there. There is a 17b Escape for just over $14,000.00 listed on fiberglass-rv-4sale.com site. Not sure if it is still for sale but worth a look. It's location is in Prince Rupert. On that site just underneath the header you will see a title for Fiberglass RVs for Sale - Canada (has a drop down menu for different brands) and one for trailers for sale in the U.S.
Good luck.

Just to update folks my patience ran out (Yes, I know I don't have much of it!)and I got a good deal on a 2008 Casita 17 so I am looking at it as a temporary trailer on my journey towards an Escape!
It will also help me get a better idea of what options I would like in the future as it is loaded.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

"You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince" now you will probably want an Escape 19 after your Casita 17 vs an Escape17.

We went from a Coleman popup, to a Winnebago Rialta, to a Scamp 17 side dinette to finally our 17B. Each one has been a learning experience that I am glad we had. You will enjoy your Casita and, as you said, gain a better idea of what you will want in an Escape.

Thanks everyone.
Yes, I do wonder about an Escape 19 - my hubby gets a little claustrophobic in the trailers we have had so far so that might be the ticket down the road.

Congratulations on your new Casita!
Drop in some time and let us know how it's going.
I like the very rounded shape of those Casitas.
Good for you for getting your egg!
