2013 Escape Rally - Anyone checking in a few days early?

I'll be bicycling home from Victoria and I *may* be camping in/around Osoyoos the night of June 4th. My uncertainty is from two factors: 1. biking through Osoyoos is on one of my two possible routes and not on the other, and 2. one can never be certain how far one will travel each day on a bike due to weather, technical difficulties, mountain passes being worse than anticipated, the body giving out, etc. If things are not going according to plan, than I may end up there on the 5th...

Anyways, our family is strongly considering the purchase of an Escape 19 for pickup next spring and I thought it might be fun to see some Escape trailers (and meet some owners!) one evening on my journey. If I knew for certain there would be some Escape trailers there the night of June 4th, it might sway my decision as to which route to take and where to try to get to that night.

I've already had some generous offers to view some Escape 19s by members of this forum, so I've got no issues seeing one or more around home, but I still think the idea of seeing a few in while actually in use might be rather neat.

Looks like I'll be there this evening! I'm just eating supper in Oroville spending the last of my $US. When I left Twisp, WA this morning I thought that if I was unable to climb Wacounda Pass this afternoon then I'd give up on the longer route home through Sandpoint, ID. Well the 90 deg heat made sure I wasn't climbing any more passes today! On my ride today I was passed by two Escapes, one was an Escape 15 with a blue pickup as a tow vehicle. The other I only noticed after it passed me so I didn't catch any details but I know the tow vehicle wasn't blue. Both looked to be heading to the rally so maybe I'll see them there tonight.

Cheers,
Bruce
