2015 Escape Trailer Customer Appreciation Rally

Hello Everyone,

I know you have all anxiously awaiting confirmation regarding the 2015 Escape Trailer Customer Appreciation Rally.

We have now received confirmation from the Nk'Mip Campground that they can accommodate us May 29th - 31, 2015.

The price will be $30/night plus applicable taxes, which includes:

1.) 2 people,
2.) 1 sleeping unit,
3.) 1 vehicle and
4.) 1 pet.

We have reserved 110 sites for this weekend. The sites will be distributed throughout Section C both old and new. Sites in the Old Section have mature trees and provide cover for those guests who would like to stay out of the sun. Sites in the new section are located near the clubhouse where all activities will be hosted. Please note sites will not be guaranteed until check in. If you require a handicap site please advise when you make your reservation.

Please contact the Nk'Mip Campground to make your reservation.

Tel: 1 250 495 7279
email: info@campingosoyoos.com

To register for the rally you must contact Escape Trailer Industries. Please provide us with the following information:

1.) Name of ALL guests
2.) Year and Model of your Escape
3.) City and Province/State you are from.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

OOhhh, I'm already planning a new route this time, let's get a caravan going with a group of Escapes following one another. It's on my calendar.

Just for clarity...
The old part of section C is the triangular loop of sites C-1 through C-76 (surrounding the original clubhouse); the new section to the south of that (left on the map) consists of sites C-77 through C-151 (surrounding the additional clubhouse with the Escape Rally events).

Thanks to Baglo for the clarification - the description didn't look right to me at first because I didn't realize there was an additional clubhouse - the whole south C loop is new since I last stayed at Nk'mip.

I'M GOING! (yes, I'm SHOUTING!)

I'm actually going to miss the Oregon Gathering this year in order to attend. That will be a first in a dozen years.

NK'MIP RV Park
See y'all THERE!

Can't wait to see the inside of your 19' in photos, Ian. Wonder if you have made any distinctive choices. Wish we could be at that rally.

Hi Cathy, wish you were able to make the event.
I'll post picture from the rally but not a lot special to see ... some custom work on the cabinets along with a long list of ETI installed items .... cannot do too many modifications while the wife is watching WIne rack and sound system are the first items on the "improvements" list.

We're driving out from Ontario and picking our '19' up on May 26th. Plan on going to Nk'Mip on the 28th. Looking forward to meeting lots of 'Escapees'.

For those attending I highly recommend some sort of shade protection, a lot of these sites are out in the open with little tree shade, I brought a handy shade canopy until the Shinook winds made me take it down, it does get very hot when sunny, it is in the desert area of BC.

The wind sure can pick up there, and as you mention the sun can get quite hot too, but I have always found that the wind is not too bad during the day when the sun is up, and our awning always is then. The only time I have ever got up in the night to retract my awning was at Nk'mip.

Those strong winds there are not Chinook winds though. Chinook winds only happen on the eastern slopes of the Rockies, in Southern Alberta. They are caused by moist wind from the Pacific coast cooling as it rises to flows over the mountains, the rapidly warming as it drops down the eastern slopes. The wind can be very fierce, but the warm weather usually associated with it during the cold of winter is often welcomed, although it can make a mess of the snow on the ground. Temperatures can rise over 20°C (36°F) in a few short hours. Ian, Gabi, and the rest of the Calgary/Southern Alberta gang, will have experienced many Chinooks.

Just sent in a reservation request. Hopefully I will hear back soon with confirmation and to give a deposit. In the past, they have not been all that great at communicating though, so will follow up in a few days with a phone call if I have not heard back.

Darn! I wanted that site.
So, this year they are taking reservations for specific sites?
