Absolutely! At least try it - that's part of learning about the place you're visiting. There are limits, of course...

Tongue, chivo, alligator, poutine! After this year long build up, I'm going to be disappointed if it tastes like chicken!

Just an FYI

I am trying to keep tabs of what dishes people have said they would like to bring. - Some people are emailing Escape while others are posting themselves.

I have noticed in previous years when we are copying and pasting sometimes we can lose information in the process. So, if you have changed your dish and it keeps appearing. Blame Reace not me

It's all good as long as that process doesn't extend over into trailer option lists.

Greg,
The real point is that the P word has been discussed on this forum ad nauseum. It might have been funny at first, but the horse is long dead and some members of the forum continue to beat it, apparently thinking it laughable. I do not believe I am the only one here having that opinion. And to answer your question, folks in Florida eat the same things as folks in other places I have lived (not just visited, e.g., Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Louisiana, California, and now Florida) and that is whatever pleases them. The only time I had poutine it was disgusting I would never have it again. It did not please me. Perhaps it is because I do not care for cheese curds, and I see no reason to put gravy on fried potatoes. Then again I like broccoli and we all know what George W. Bush said about it. So why don't we start a thread about broccoli and mention broccoli in every other thread in which we can possibly mention it, like in an Escape Sighting thread. Just think how fun that could be. "I saw a 17 foot Escape at Yosemite being towed by a broccoli colored truck." Or, "I saw an Escape 5.0 on I-95 in Delaware and I think the TV occupants were munching on broccoli sandwiches." The point is, enough is enough. We don't need to introduce poutine into every other thread in an attempt "to be funny." Of course, children will continue to be children and there is nothing that I can say that will dissuade them. I can only hope you get my point.

Wowsers,
We won't have our Escape yet, & won't be going to the rally, so we didn't look at the menu list until now. What an array of wonderful foods we'll be missing. (And extra pounds put on!).

All we can say is, Enjoy (but don't rave about it too much, here. We'll just feel bad.

Please add us on the list to bring Ranch Chicken Wraps for an entree. Also, we plan to bring Shrimp Dip or Crab Dip if we can find shrimp or crab in Canada.

Thanks,

Dangit. Pam and Jackie are making Migas and Enchiladas Verdes, and I'll be stuck in some data center in NYC.

Oh well, next year....

Had to finish my shrimp cocktail and crab cake before I could reply Yes, they're readily available. In my case, having an enthusiastic fisherman next door, both arrive still kicking every couple of weeks. Looking forward to sampling your offering.

I wonder if there will be any issues with border crossing in bringing food to the pot luck from the U.S.?
