We were rookies last year thus didn't know about the rib night or the Sage Pub for that matter. Diana and I would like to join the crowd this year.

We never knew until minutes beforehand either, it was kinda impromptu.

Hello Everyone,

If anyone is planning an activity or participating in a local event during the rally that they believe other guests may be interested in. Please contact Tammy and the Escape Office so we can include that information in the Rally Itinerary.

IE:

New and Used Swap - Anne H. & Paul W.
Book Exchange
Water Kayaking around the Lake - Scott & Annette M.
Biking Tour
Gin Factory Tour
Golfing
Pancake Breakfast - Marlene & Dennis.
Sage Pub (2 - 1 Ribs) - Jim & Lisa.

We are currently working on the Itinerary and looking at some changes for this years rally...

Anyone up for another round of BINGO? - No John you cannot call the office for answers this year!.!.?

If you have chosen to co-ordinate/organize an activity I recommend creating a new thread with that event or activity as a title.

ie:

2016 Escape Trailer Rally - Sage Pub (2-1 Ribs)

Then have the pertinent information listed in the thread and maybe the registrants or volunteers can 'Quote' listing they are interested in attending.

Yes - I like to be organized

Gin Distillery

the 2015 gin thread is here.
http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...lery-5641.html

Grant's website is here:
The Dubh Glas Distillery | Whisky, Gin and Spirits

They conduct tours Friday to Sunday 11-6 according to their website. It is interesting to hear his spiel about the process and his choice of equipment. Sampling is of course the highlight. There was an email sent out about his craft alcohol kit, but I can't find it. He did have whiskey on the go last year (meaning casked but NOT drinkable). I'll try to call him when I get a chance for the latest info.

The distillery is actually at the far northern edge of Oliver, so its about 4-5 miles out of the main centre.

tl;dr
get a bottle at the Oliver Desert Rose Liquor store (by Canadian Tire) or conveniently/potentially at the BCGov Sardis Liquor Store (Chilliwack mall)

A trailer towing rodeo. Set up pylons in an obstacle course, reversing challenges, etc. Escape Trailer Industries to supply the tow and trailer.
How about a trailer pull Jim , after the sage pub crawl of course. It might have to be a team event.

Well after being in touch with the Sage Pub unfortunately they cannot reserve any area for us Thursday night as its their busiest night. As of right now there isn't a plan B. I have put out a few feelers and will see if anything else comes to fruition.

Cheers

Saw Grant today.

He has white whiskey (aka basically vodka with a different name) on sale at the distillery. His regular whiskey casks are still aging. Had a small sample (last of the testers). Oak with caramel overtones.

Regular hours stand.

Hope the whiskey has more character than the building where it's made. I'll bring a beer from home.

2016 Rally Itinerary?

Our first year attending; been searching for an itinerary with no success. Anyone know where it can be found if it's published yet?
