I stuck some photos of the surf on today's LakeshoreImages page.

One more trailer, a Casita, Now a total of 2 Casitas, 4 Escapes (2 -21s, a 50.TA, and a 17). And despite what I wrote, none of them have eaten each other!

Wow, the surf is really up. Last year it was literally placid. Based on the forecast, looks like Thursday or Friday is the best day for the kayak trip or a bird watching outing. Saturday says showers all day. Ugh. Oh well, a day of rainy camping beats a day of sunny work I guess.

!
Those photos of the surf are just "disgusting!" I considered flying down there. Years ago --- many years ago --- one could fly anywhere within Texas on Southwest for $15. Not exactly so now.

Yeah, I don't think the Texas Gulf Coast is known for scenic water, even when it's calm. But, best shrimp in the world bar none, and I've always had fun fishing there.

That is the nice thing about our mobile homes, having the ability to travel to obtain fresh seafood known, like the Northwest for the salmon, the Gulf for their shrimp, the Northeast for their lobster and cod, the midatlantic for oysters and crabs.

The beer swap was lots of fun, but I had to push pretty hard to get any takers for my hard Root Beer.

For those with AT&T phones, watch your roaming charges. I got a call sitting in the park last week that was listed as an international roaming charge on a Gulf of Mexico, LA tower. $9.00 for 10 minutes... Called AT&T & they dismissed the charge.

Quite windy here today. At least it makes the flags look nice.

mo wind..less skeeters!

weather is fixin to change....Myrtle (a cow) is headed to the barn...

Myrtle is a bit more low tech than a "weather radio" but dependable in this neck of the woods!
if the cow is laying under a tree, then its going to be sunny and hot
if the cow is standing under a tree, then there is going to be some light rain
if the cow is standing under a tree and the tail is wrapped around the tree, then there is going to be moderate winds and rain
if the cow is headed for the barn, then you best be doing the same
if the cow is trying to dig a really big hole fast, you best get below ground in the storm shelter and quick!
if the cow is "flying" past you, say a prayer for yourself and the cow.....
