I'll have a 20 liter water container available. Not willing to lug it around for you, though.

IowaDave will do that, so he can keep those "wings" in shape for the Torque Your Nuts contest...

We are currently encamped in Scott County park a few miles north of Davenport Iowa. There are about 20 to 25 fiberglass campers here. Beautiful facilities, nice night, cold beer. Warm fire, good friends. This is
Camping .

Iowa Dave,

How many campsites are still available? I plan to leave Iowa City around noon.

I did not count but I would estimate 10 sites left in Pine Grove but several may be to short for a 19. Great for motor cycles towing a trailer however. Around dusk I went over to Icahias campground, there were lots of nice drive through spaces. I spoke with the ranger and he doubted Icahias would fill for the weekend. It is about 1/2 mile.

Come on in the water is fine. They did drain the pool for the season however.

I am packed and will leave sometime in the morning for the 5.5 hour drive. Save me a spot with two trees to hang my hammock.

How about a Grand Cherokee and a tiny tent trailer? Considering the weather and the probability that we wil be arriving after dark, I'm embarrassed to say that I think the motorcycle will be staying home this weekend.

I can't tell if we're getting smarter/safer as we get older or we've just gone soft.

Places and spaces

There were seven sites open this morning when I took Jihad Jake for a walk around both loops at 6:30 AM. All but one or two would have accommodated the 19 and out Highlander when decoupled. There is a fold down here and when we talked to them they indicated they were leaving today , So there are spots, but not a lot. Showers are very good. Tom just stopped by with his big red dog Lefty. They had found the fruit of an Osage orange. After I detained him for an extended botany lesson he went on his way. The Red Bellied Woodpeckers are calling to each other in the background and it feels very much like fall.

Question Who's who

Just wondering...are we all going to wear name tags? Which names?
Well, as an unsuspecting newbie when I signed up for the forum, I'm just relieved I didn't choose a wackier nickname, like Bozo or something....

When you are wanted in seven states and two Candian provinces for murdering the English language and punctuation abuse, your name tag is Incognito.
Seriously, haven't seen any hand out name tags but our Organizer would know , if not bring your own or not. Otherwise you'll be know as the lady down there with the new Eacape. Nobody will mistake you for Jim Norman

Can't we just say it is a bit of both?

Our 30A breaker was broken on the power post. Told the maintenance guy and they had it fixed about 1/2 an hour later. Efficient clean place. Thanks to Iowa Dave and Paul for finding it.

Dave, I'm more concerned about figuring out who everyone else is.

Well at our age and the age group that prevails here, the men are mostly Dave, Tom,
Bill and John. The women. Mary, Susan, Linda or Karen. Put a Combo together and you will probably get a bingo.

Good one Dave! I'm of the Patty Cathy Debbie Joanne Susan era.
My name, however, is very unusual, which is why I don't publish it anywhere....

Is it safe to assume the Trailer Tours are still on at the new location? We have a four hour drive and it will be a disappointment if we don't get a look at the models.

Thanks
