You guys have a great time this year! We won't be there as the wife is getting as much rest as possible after surgery, before our up coming trip to Chiliwack. But we'll see you next year with our new 21. Everyone travel safe! We'll be there in spirit.

Early Birds...No Worms

Deciding what to do with ourselves after the Algonac rally we opted this morning to take the 8 minute ferry in the city of Algonac across the St. Claire River and head straight here. No border hassle at all and save the foot passenger we were the only motorized fare....$15 was well worth not crossing upriver at Sarnia and getting stuck on the bridge for an hour or so as has happened to some.

We are solo for a few days and then some camping buddies with an Escape 21 on order are scheduled to show up.

So....we'll do some laundry, housekeeping and poking about while we wait.

For those of you from the US I thought I would note that we get 2 to 3 bars of Verizon service and at least 2 bars on my T-Mobile device here at the campsite. Don't know about elsewhere, but I appreciate having it here, at least.

You can buy service for $2/day/device according to the owner....first 15 minutes is free and then you have to decide what you need.

We are on site 31 near the entrance and have a small view of the Niagara River right out the front door. Sweet.

Anway....warming up the campground for the rest of y'all.

Bring in the Percheron, the Weber can cook anything. The Jalapeño spam is packed. I also have some summer sausage with cheese and jalpenos infused, as well as some fresh jalapeños and sweet red bull's horn peppers my bro gave me yestidy. These will be for give away while supplies last. Pulled poke for the potluck and an exciting new beer called nooner.
I don't go camping to camp, I go to abuse my digestive system while I still can.

If you like spicy, you should try korean food. Hint. korean peppers are the same heat level as Thai peppers.

Yes sir, good stuff. Just had dinner at Jang Su Jang in Santa Clara CA. Place is frequented by Koreans, so you know it's going to be good. Try the Kimchi Jjigae, or the spicy ribs.

Hi: 2yax2go... WOW!!! You'll have time to enjoy a drive north along the Niagara Parkway into Niagara on the Lake. You could even take in a matinee play at the Shaw Festival theater. Shaw Festival Theatre – Great theatre in the heart of Niagara Wine Country Enjoy our see thru, coloured 75 cent dolla$ too.
We'll be there as soon as we can!!! Alf

While we are patiently waiting for our 19 in 2017 we really wanted to attend the rally. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend. Maybe next year with our newly hatched baby. It would be great if people could post photos from the rally. Have fun everyone.

I expect to be there next year also. Would have gone this year except my nephew's oldest was supposed to say "I do" on Friday the 16th so I was doing the family thing. Don't know if it was the bride to bevor the groom to be or both, but they called it off to late for me to revise plans. Wish I could be there, but I will be at LBL in October.

Geez, Alf....All I keep getting is Loonies.

And, we did drive the parkway today...lovely ride. Hope the weather holds so we can do it again leaving earlier...late afternoon and every where was jam packed so we just did the quick car tour.

I have to say, though, even from the highway the Falls are absolutely stunning. That is a definite go back even if it's next year.

See y'all soon.

Hi: reddog2673... Yesterday I was practicing with my ladders. Alas I was washing the 5.0TA... And this morning it's out there in the rinse cycle. Sure would like to have nice weather for the Niagara Wine Escape. Alf

Hi: 2yax2go... Loonie$ are still spendable. I use them at the farm gate markets. Glad to get the weight out of my pockets.
Sorry about the crowds but The Falls are an international attraction. I also forgot to mention the $pendy parking lot$. That's why I like the Riverside Camp Ground. Near enough but away from the crowds. See Ya'll later. Alf
