"Hasta la Vista", Osoyoos....
We are leaving this am @7 to get through Customs, stop n Oroville for our wine and start our trek home. It has been a great rally here, our third, and seeing everyone again and meeting new owners. Hope everyone travels safely home and to my fellow veterans, Happy Memorial Day.

Darn. Wish I had taken pictures...What a great rally. And great weather. Too much food at the pot luck, but delicious, as usual. Jim and Lisa's new 5.0 was the highlight of the rally. Many creative ideas and beautiful workmanship, along with, of course, a scotch bar....Whooda thunk?

The wine tour was, again, a fun event, but boy was I wined out... No comments from you, Jim! (Great meeting your brother and sis-in-law, Trish and Dave.)

Thanks to Tammy and Reese and their family and staff for putting on another great rally.

What a great time, than, Thank you again to the ETI crew for all their work.
The trailer umbrella is a Chinese invention designed to keep cars cool. The size was perfect for our Boler. Without it on the interior temperature was 12C to 15C hotter than outside, with it installed the interior temp was only 2C-3C hotter than outside so it works.

Wow, how fabulous! We should all be so lucky. And she did it all herself. She must really like the road.

I found that there are three colors and a remote but for $319. Great idea.

Home! (Well, awhile ago.) Worst part of the drive- getting onto Whidbey Island, stop and go traffic from the Anacortes turn all the way to the bridge but lucky for my heart, not including the bridge. No wait at customs (Sumas) though I did learn rice from outside the US/Canada (do you grow rice?) is not allowed anymore.

Dogs

This rally went to the dogs. From Chico to Jasper Elkhounds to Kerry blue terriers. Here's a couple pictures of that lovable barker and puller the tireless rascal Jake. Did you take a picture of your dog you'd like to share?
Jakes best treat friends are Bill S, Glenn B and Dell.
Jake is three year old, sting cheese gobbling, French Brittany..

Reace expanded on the history of Escape from his account two years ago at the banquet. When you hear the story, you'll realize what a great company Escape is and what great people make up the heart and soul of your trailer.

Thanks Dave! Lots of familiar faces. That guy with the lovely bald head promised photos of his 5.0TA wonder, so I'm still holding out...

What I learned in Osoyoos during the rally ...

1.). There is no "soy" in Osoyoos. It's "Oh-so-use" (or something close to that )
2.). "Nk'Mip" is pronounced, "Ink-A-Meep."
3.). When trying to source Robertson head screws, Jim Bennett suggested that I simply go to the local hardware store (which is a must see, BTW). EVERY SINGLE SCREW in the place has a Robertson head; not a Phillips head in the store that I could find. Canada is indeed a progressive country with lovely folks and outstanding hardware.
4.) And finally, never ever try to dissuade a rally attendee from enthusiastically raving about their homes on wheels (even though you're also a "true believer") and you go looking for the opportunity for a gripe session, you better look elsewhere. This was one bunch of happy campers!
