There are a TOTAL of 52 sites with electric and water at Silver Falls State Park. Two in B loop are ADA compliant. There are four yurts in B loop with trailer site parking attached. Two of those are ADA compliant. There are 10 electric and water sites in A loop at the far north end. (see attached map). If you want to attend Fall NOG, do not delay getting your reservations. To view photos of specific sites: Silver Falls State Park (Oregon) Campground - Photos, Information, and Reviews

You'll note this is a week earlier than the normal Fall NOG. That's because the first of October falls on a Sunday in 2017. We've typically held Fall NOG on the long weekend which coincides with Columbus Day and the Canadian Thanksgiving Holiday. Because of that, we'll do the same in 2017. Hopefully we'll get a bit warmer weather too! Remember Fort Stevens last year? Oh my, wonderful.

This should be a great time to visit Silver Falls State Park. Oregon's Premier State Park!

You can either make reservations online ReserveAmerica or 1-800-452-5687

Check out these sites for flower activities in the area: The Oregon Garden in Silverton, Oregon. Which also has "The Gordon House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright."

I've chosen site B3 and as usual will keep a park map updated and a list of names going for those that have made reservations on the CasitaForum - 2017 Fall NOG.

So, post away, either here or there.

We're in B34. This is just two weeks after our return from a planned Canadian Rockies trip, so it will take some convincing among family members to make this trip. Fortunately they don't read the forum much -- especially Tyler and Wally -- so I can wait for the right moment to spring it on them.

you know, I really don't understand their reservation system. I plugged in the dates and what I wanted, left out the length as I haven't figured that part out yet. Clicked on check availability and it said there wasn't anything available.

So, did it again, after posting what I posted above. I looked at the map and it showed some sites still available. With the same things I had checked when doing a search, such as power, water, sewer. I really don't understand what's going on with their system. Both times it said nothing was available for the dates I wanted (Oct 5-9th), but the map said there was as some sites were still showing in blue, not the brown for when it's reserved.

If anyone can clue me in, that would be great. I was heartbroken it was already full after such a short while after the post came through originally.

Also, what length do I put in when filling out for campgrounds? The trailer or both the truck/trailer?

AND, I snagged site B007.

What a mucky system they have, if you ask me.

Okay, I figured out part of the problem. It appears none of their sites have sewer hookup. Jeez.

Still wondering about the length you put in.

I'll get this all figured out one of these years.

I thought perhaps you were having trouble due to the date. Nine months from today is Thursday. Those coming in on Friday have to wait until tomorrow to reserve. We've got 10 sites already booked in 8 hours.

Don't worry about the length of your trailer, what you need to look at is the length of the site. Will you fit? Then just plug in some arbitrary number smaller than that. Weird I know, but it's because of the BIG GUYS they need people to put in a length, otherwise they might stick out in the street.

These reservation sites get easier to use when you spend some time experimenting with them. In your case, I think you added a "sewer" filter as something you wanted. No sewer hookups at Silver Falls, so it told you nothing available.

Something to look forward to: when you use ReserveAmerica to reserve some other type of campsite -- something other than an Oregon State Park -- it will behave in even other mysterious ways. Each venue has its quirks with ReserveAmerica.

But, hey, what a good time experimenting, yes?

Oh joy! Thanks for the heads up though. I get easily frustrated, which doesn't help the situation. Dirk is the much calmer and more patient of the two of us. Thank goodness!

Yeah, I have yet to reserve any places in WA or ID or Canada. So, we'll see what happens.

Yay, 10 spots already reserved. That's great!

As I sit here with frozen feet, it's fun to look at my Current Reservations through ReserveAmerica. I already have 5 camping reservations between April and October. The next three+ months are going to drag...

Hee, hee, hee. I've been doing the same. But looking at my actual paper calendar where I'm writing stuff down. I do have my first trip booked for early Feb though, weather dependent.

In less than 24 hours 14 sites are booked out of the 52 total available. Nine months to go!
