Saturday night of Spring NOG, as a group, we decide where to go the following spring. The majority wanted to camp at Beverly Beach on the Oregon coast.

This NOG and going forward, I'm going to see about renting a meeting Yurt or hall. There's a nice one at Beverly Beach (Blue square). So, make your site reservation where you wish in the park. No need to be reasonably close by to my site for the group events. There's a good size parking lot adjacent to the meeting Yurt, so you'll be able to drive and park when joining for the group events. Everyone agreed to help financially support the meeting Yurt rental. It should run about $5-$10 per site total for both nights. I'll let everyone know when we get much, much closer to the Spring NOG. It's going to be really nice to not worry about the weather... no more EZ-ups or folding tables!

So... make your reservations. It's time! Check out the campsite photos here: http://www.campsitephotos.com/campground/Beverly-Beach-State-Park

Everything available at the park... Beverly Beach State Park and reserve online:

Campground site brochure: http://oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=main.loadFile&load=_siteFiles%2Fpubli cations%2F39887_beverly_beach%28lowres%29103338.pd f

As usual, I'll keep the top post on the CasitaForum updated with a participants list and site map. http://www.casitaforum.com/invboard/topic/19713-2017-spring-nog-apr-27-30/#entry184269

Feel free to post your information here on the EscapeForum, the CasitaForum, FiberglassRV or on the Oregon Gatherings Facebook page.

Ready. Set. Go!

I"m booked!

I just booked spot G09 for Dirk and I. And maybe a cat or two.

Really looking forward to it. It'll be our first gathering!

Wow, you guys really are at the back of the park. I didn't think anyone would reserve way back there. Surprise! I'll need to redo the map. Give me a couple of days to update the map and participants list on the CasitaForum.

Fun times ahead!

Well, yeah, um, didn't see the list of campers until after I booked and went to the Casita site. It also seemed that the site is a bit larger than others, so I figured I'd take some extra space around the trailer as opposed to being crammed next to someone else. However, I've never been there before, so heck if I know if that's a valid concern or not.

Heck, we all need to walk more, right?

And as more folks book more will be in my direction. I'm just leading the pack right now.

Walking is always good. If you decide to go to the beach, you can always drive down to the Yurt, there's a big parking lot there.

We'll be in G27.

And Laura, don't feel bad about being "in the back". It can be cool in the B loop with the breeze from the ocean blowing in under Hwy 101.

Oh yay, someone else in my neck of the woods!

I was thinking of seeing if I should change spots, but maybe I won't now. We'll have our own exclusive G area party hearty time.

Oh yay! Thanks for this info. More for the G area party!

And yes, I know there's more than just a section party. Just having some fun here.

I'm really looking forward to this rally. My first ever! It'll be fun to meet other owners and see their trailers. I've never been inside any other brand of fiberglass trailers, so it'll be great fun to see what the other brands are like.

Speaking of which, I know NOG stands for both Northern Oregon Gathering as well as Not Organized Gathering. Which leads me to ask:

Is there some sort of "code" (or whatever) that lets you know it's okay to go up to someone's trailer and have a look see? I don't really want to knock on a door if it's not appropriate. Or assume it's okay to walk up to someone if they're not really in the mood for company, if they're sitting outside their trailer.

Do folks wear name tags so I can find out who all everyone is? Or both their names and their user name on this list? Or is that too organized?

Thanks!

From Laura the rally newbie! (not sure if Dirk will be there)

No special handshake or code. It's really pretty easy, see someone sitting outside their trailer... ask to look inside. Folks are thrilled to show what they've got. If it's not a convenient time, they'll tell you. Or they may be like me... "gotta warn you, it looks like a bomb went off inside... I'm camping! "

This is a direct link to the schedule for Fall NOG 2016. Not much will change for 2017 Spring NOG. So it should give you an idea of what you need to do and what to expect. Schedule for Fall NOG

I'll get the participants list and map updated later today... and fix your site number!

We reserved B11 a long time ago and I guess I forgot to tell anyone. Unintended stealth NOG attendance? Anyway we'll be there, with a stop at Battle Ground State Park in WA on the way. We look forward to seeing y'all again!

Hi Donna,
What is the easiest way to search a particular site in CampsitePhotos without having to choose from the photos? Am I missing something?

In the URL, see where I circled in red? If you put the Loop and site number in there it should come up.

Does this help?

I made our reservation a long time ago, but I recently realized that I haven't posted that we're coming to the Spring NOG. Linda and I (and maybe Luke & Smokey--depending on how well obedience classes are going ) will be in be in C8 with our new 21'.
