Spring NOG has to come to a close. What a great time I had! Thanks to all for helping me make a memory.

Thanks too for all that stepped up and helped with the activities. From building a fire for the Dinner or a Stick Night, to setting up tables and chairs and facilitating the potluck... to cleaning the meeting hall after the potluck Saturday night. Everyone and everything you did is very much appreciated. I love people who volunteer!

Those that packed extra Sun in your trailers... THAT was great. The weather was very nice. Some wind, some rain... and some sun! Could hardly get much better at the Oregon Coast in April.

The stats: Participants came from British Columbia, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, and California.

There were:
4 Bigfoot
1 Burro
20 Casita
11 Escape
5 Scamp
1 Surf Side
1 Boler
1 Trails West
2 Compact

We had trailers from 1968 (Boler) to 2017 (Escape). 49 years of fun!

We'll see some of you at the Fall NOG in October. To the rest, safe travels and we'll catch you some other time.

You had sun in Oregon. Seriously? I heard it can happen. Sorry we missed it.

Fossils embedded in the bank. This photo was taken just to the left of the sunset bridge photo above. There are a LOT of fossils in the bank.

We wondered what happened to you. Judy and I went by your site several times looking for you. Super bummer!

Hey, you should carry pruners with you like this one guy did in his big ass Class A that took out bushes at a site in Sunset Bay SP last weekend, as well as a site marker and the park's stop sign. He used the pruners so those in that site he destroyed could get out. I won't mention the other things this twit did.

So, yeah, one more thing to add to your "need to have list". HA!

Great, you can keep it when I am camping, Bruce.

That trip I took to Oregon last fall saw rain almost every day for 18 days, and some of it really intense. The ocean was so cool though on one day when they got the worst storm in many years.

The branch was swinging in the breeze so there wasn't much holding it up there. Like Steve said, it wasn't a question of whether it would fall, but when. Not sure if it would have hit the car or the front of the trailer, but we weren't going to risk it.

I reported it to the office and was told that someone would be around to look at it. After multiple visits to the office reporting that no one had come by, I was told by a different person in the office that everyone was gone for the day. There were no other trailer sites available, and the neighboring parks were full. We headed back towards Portland but no luck finding another park along the way. I hope it was a fun time, and I'm sorry we weren't there!

Oh my stars. I somehow missed reading this. Gary I am so very sorry. I wish I would have known when you were in the park and were having issues.... trust me, something would have been done even AFTER the park rangers went home. I would have found a Camp Host and... well... guess!?

I received the park survey from the state this morning. I'll let them know this is unacceptable (I hope you got every cent back for the site and reservation).

When I first contacted the office the woman told me there were no available trailer spaces at the campground, so they would get someone to come by and look at the branch. When I went back the last time, the guy there offered me a full refund. Even tried to find us a space at one of the nearby campgrounds. Seems that it was such a beautiful weekend at the beach there was no available trailer spaces there either.

Yeah, we should have come by and said we were leaving, but since it was such an exhausting couple of weeks of very long hours that we decided to get home before dark.
