I called today to make a reservation at Nk’Mip for the 2018 rally. They told me there was a $60 non-refundable deposit. I don’t recall this in the prior years. Anyone else?

Hi Carla Jean
I remember paying the deposit the last 2 years and I know last year it was $60.00.

Cheers

Paid a deposit for as long as I can remember.

OK, we’re on for the rally again. Ned and I, and Maxwell Smart, our gorgeous Aussie, are so looking forward to seeing everyone again in May.

Nk'Mip Campground reservations

I just called and made our Nk'Mip Campground reservations. We decided to arrive early, Mon May 21 and leave late, Tues May 29. (The advantages of being retired and mostly full time travelers.)

I asked about reserving a specific site and I was told that we would get one of the spaces in loop C when we arrived. This should work out well for us, because we are arriving early. But it may mean that we unknowingly take a space someone else had hoped to reserve.

ETI was good to us and moved up our completion date a week so we could attend the rally. Our Escape 21 will only be a few hours old when we arrive. This is our first Escape and our first rally. This forum has been wonderful in helping us with our build sheet and we look forward to meeting all you friendly, helpful people.

We are looking forward to meeting you as well. This will be our second Rally (had to cancel last year; family wedding), and we are excited to re-visit the fun:-)

After signing up for the rally as soon as reservations opened for all the past years, then last year finding that I could not have the site I had selected, I thought what's the rush. I just registered today, only to find for the first time the are taking reservations. Go figure. I will be in C-129.

Good luck with that Jim. I've yet to get the site that I requested, even though the confirmation email specifies the site.

Yes, there are always people like me who show up early and rather than move us again they give away someone else's site. sorry about that, but the good news is I doubt we can make it this year, early or late due to our failing dog, Franklin. These cross country trips take their toll and I'd rather not risk the chance of him passing while on the road, he is 14 now. So we plan on sticking closer to home for that reason.

They are doing it different this year, I had to pick a specific site, and they claimed that will be the one I get this year. I guess they had a lot of complaints last year, I know they heard from me, as I had booked my brother's and mine together early.

We had the opposite experience when we made our reservation. We were told we could not pick a site, but would get on on loop C when we arrived.
