2018 Spring NOG - Apr. 26-29 - Northern Oregon Gathering

April 26-29, 2018 — L.L. Stub Stewart State Park
(Vernonia area - West of Portland, Oregon - about 34 miles)

The traveling roadshow is moving back to L.L. Stub Stewart for Spring NOG 2018. We've been there for both spring blooming and fall colors. We're hoping for no rain or wind! Be sure to checkout everything the Oregon State Park system has to say about the park. Find the information here including reservation information: L.L. Stub Stewart State Park.

THIS time we'll start reserving in Dairy Creek WEST. I've chosen site 42. Remember, everyone gets full hookups (electric, water, sewer). On Thursday, I'll reserve the main shelter in Dairy Creek West for Friday/Saturday night doin's. No EZ-Ups or folding tables needed for the group activities. SWOON!

As usual I'll keep a park map updated and a list of names going for those that have made reservations. So, post away! BTW: I'm coming early again. I'll pull in on Wednesday and stay until Sunday afternoon... if anyone cares to join me early!

The participants list and map will be updated ONLY on the CasitaForum here: https://www.casitaforum.com/invboard...gon-gathering/

Be sure to let us know if you're newbies to egg gatherings and everyone start planning/making your name tags!

Linda & Gary will be in site 051, DAIRY CREEK WEST. And Stub Stewart doesn't have any tall trees around our space so no problems with branches hanging over us, ready to fall! And if there are any other problems, I now know to come find Donna D.

Right across from you guys in #50. Us new 21s gotta stick together, you know.

Yeah, when I see branches I think of you guys and wonder if you'll be carrying hedge cutters from now on. Or a hacksaw. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

The earliest you can reserve is exactly nine months to the date you arrive when making reservations for Oregon State Parks. I was able to reserve today (25th) because I'll be there on April 25th.

Yeah, gotta stick together, Laura! Heck, maybe I'll even wash the trailer before we head out so it still looks kinda new! Looking forward to seeing you guys!

If hedge cutters would have worked at Beverly Beach, I'd have been able to reach the branch so I could have just pulled it down! What I should have had is a grappling hook to just pull the branch down.

Well, jeez, now this is a challenge I might not be able to take up. You're much closer than I am, so even if I wash before I leave, it might not look as clean as yours.

Oh hey, can I stop by your place on the way down, as I'm sure you'll be up to washing *two* trailers, won't ya?

Any kind of nametag? First & last name? First name only? Anything else?

Your name tag can be anything you want. First names are nice, maybe your trailer year/manufacturer/model/size and perhaps the city, state

I don't know about you, but I'm really bad about remembering names of people I've just met. Name tags REALLY help me out

A name tag can even be a button on your hat, it doesn't need to hang around your neck or be pinned to your shirt.

Donna, bring your trailer by and I'll hose it down for you! Then I'll sit back and watch as you try to turn around and head back down the driveway.

Charlie, it's an Eclipse so chances are nobody will be looking at your trailer especially when the sky goes dark.

Well, if you meant to say "Laura" since you quoted my comment - I'm really good at backing straight. Including across a busy street at a slight right angle and then straight down a steep driveway with a retaining wall on each side.

Now, if I need to back into a tight camping spot with lots of trees and stumps and rocks, and turning on the passenger side - not so good. Yeah, need practice. Trailer survived the stump which is showing more wear and tear than before (the stump, that is).
