We take 97 south into Washington, take a right at Omak onto #155, cross the Coulee Dam and hook up with #174 which takes you to US2 to I90. Very scenic country and plenty of places to stop for gas and food that you can not cross border with. It is about 2400 miles via I90 and I80/I70 to Indianapolis. From there you will take a different route and head up to Cleveland and northeast thru New York to Burlington, VT. It is about 40 hours driving to Indianapolis @60 mph avg, 65 actual. You have another 800 miles to Burlington,Vt, maybe a day and half, easily there by Friday. So 5.5x10 hour days should do it.

Yeah, that's not great. Could you not leave him in the care of some friends or family? He might be more comfortable.

I could not forgive myself if he passed while we were gone, he gets stressed anytime I leave the house, separation anxiety, so no, he is better with us. I thought staying home with our staycation these past 10 months would have given him time, but as long as he can walk he is fine.

Isn't that one of the reasons for owning your Escape, an oversized dog house.....

In the doghouse

I will agree that for a dog, the Escape is a pretty big doghouse. However when I’m in the doghouse for one of my numerous irresponsible actions, the Escape seems real small and the front seat of the Highlander seems spacious.

So when I ordered my new Escape 19 they were talking about this rally. So I'm going to the factory to do my orientation on the Rally Monday and it looks like I have to drive right through the event on the way from NY. I definitely will have to stop on Sunday afternoon. I'll have my two child drivers with me to share the 41 hour drive from home. Love to see some modifications.

Welcome Steve, which Monday date are you referring to? The rally dates are Thursday-Sunday, May 23-26, so Monday, 5/27 will be a departure date and the week before, 5/20 some will be arriving.

I'll be picking up on what we call Memorial Day in the US. So we would be by on the day everyone is leaving I guess. Even if we don't get there in time to see all the Escape's we will be excited to see some on the road. I've owned a Scamp for about 4 years and so I'm tuned to spotting fibreglass trailers and I've never seen an Escape.

Why not come a day early, sunday and take a tour. Osoyoos and Nk-Mip is about 3 hours west of Chilliwack, an easy drive. We are picking up our new 21 on tuesday 5/21 and heading from Chilliwack direct to Osoyoos for the fun times.

Osoyoos is east of Chilliwack, but I'm sure Steve would have figured that out.

Yes, I was thinking since he was traveling to Chilliwack that he needed to head west from Osoyoos for 3 hours, but it is east of Chilliwack to do that.

Spaces left?

I think there are most likely spaces left in the campground. It’s pretry big and the three times we’ve been there there’s always been spots open. They may not be shady and a bit of a walk to the assembly hall but usable, pretty level and easy to get into. You can put a couple
refreshments in a soft cooler and go for a walk after breakfast and if you say hello
A couple times you won’t be back to your site till lunch.

I just booked yesterday, they still have spaces left. I did have to call twice. Hope to see you there, it is a lot of fun and you learn a lot.

The cg is very large, close to 400 spots and with maybe 150 Escapes, a sight to see. In the past I brought a fold up bike to make the rounds. One of the prettiest places we have visited.

there should be one space available today for sure because we just had to cancel our reservation today and forfeit our reservation fee. Have a family wedding that is going to take place exact same time and so cannot make it. We were supposed to be picking up our new 5.0TA on May 23rd and instead I'll be picking her up on April 24th.

Sorry you have to miss the rally. We are picking up our 5.0TA on April 25th! Are you making a beeline back to Ontario? We will be there a day early on the 24th and staying in the Best Western if you are still around.

Hello Arnie and Paula,

Lucie and I will be arriving into Chilliwack on April 22nd as we have an appointment at Trademasters on the next morning to install our 5th wheel hitch into our pickup truck. Our orientation is the following morning on April 24th at 11:30 am. At the moment we are planning on staying at the Sure Stay Best Western where we stayed in January when we flew out to order our trailer.

Was thinking of staying in the hotel parking lot if they would allow it on the 24th and leaving the morning of the 25th for home (just to make sure we totally understand the trailer as its our very first! ) . We're staying in the hotel for 2 nights and they have a large lot so hopefully they're OK with that. I'll send you an email request if you want to meet up.

I am not sure what ETI policy is on staying in their front parking lot after hours but you could ask them as a backup.
I would tow the trailer around in the afternoon...fill with groceries, then once the gates are closed at then end of the work day pick a spot out front.
