At the moment we are planning on staying at the Sure Stay Best Western where we stayed in January when we flew out to order our trailer.
Was thinking of staying in the hotel parking lot if they would allow it on the 24th and leaving the morning of the 25th for home (just to make sure we totally understand the trailer as its our very first! ) . We're staying in the hotel for 2 nights and they have a large lot so hopefully they're OK with that. I'll send you an email request if you want to meet up.

I would expect the Hotel would be accommodating. They are nice folks. If not, you could stay with the big rigs in the lot on the other side of the liquor store. Not as nice but ...
I got your PM and sent you an email. Looking forward to meeting up!

When we stayed at BW we asked for and received a "late checkout" time on day of departure so that I could return after Sumas and unload from the truck and into the trailer before leaving. I think they gave us an extra 3 hours, from 11 to 2. Just try to be first that day at Sumas.

All good suggestions folks! Thanks a bunch, was also noting that there are folks who used to stay at the Wal Mart in Chilliwack? Not sure if they're still allowing that? Would make a great spot to pick up all our supplies before heading out!
As an aside, I received some pictures from Escape today that show that all our windows have been installed and once cleaned our trailer is ready to go. Noticed another 5.0TA with blue graphics next to ours that also looks complete, I wonder if that's yours Arnie?

Not sure if it is still allowed this years but here is a review from last year that says it is OK when they asked the manager.

We live in Chilliwack and there are always trailers in the Walmart parking lot in the mornings. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions in regards to the area. Cathy

We had dilly-dallied about booking at Nk'mip for the rally and when I just called them to book, they told me that at this point they may be full, although apparently someone is calling me tomorrow. If however, someone can't make it, please let me know by pm and we can take over your reservation (and "buy" you out). They may be running a reserve list.
Another thought might be doubling up at a site, we could manage without a hook-up.

If for some reason you can't get in, please forward the whiskey to the campground office, and we will pick it up there.
Though hope you do get a spot, I bet something will open up. At Fort Langley they let us double up in a pull through.

If you share your spot with us, we will share our whisky with you. We might even bring tequila if you offer to share!

Deal!
A lot will likely depend on what site we get. We reserved one of the sites that are directly across from the rec centre to the south, which they said we can get as long as there is no longer term camper in it. Not sure how much room it has, but some of the sites other than pull throughs are quite long. Has Nk'Mip confirmed you can double up. If we have room, there is no problem. We could always find other spots for the tow vehicles.
We did that with my brother and wife at Valley of Fire in Nevada.

Hoping to hear from Nk'mip tomorrow and will raise that with them then as an alternative if a spot isn't available.

Any of the C134-C151 are extra long pull thru and easily shared sites. Not sure which one we get, we have had one of them, 2 out of our 3 trips there. If we get one, you are welcome to share our site also. It is possible 2 of my prior Escapes will be in attendance, won't that be a hoot.....

For us it all depends on if DearOne feels willing (capable) of surviving the 3-4 days trip from here. This and other scheduling issues exist. At this moment just cannot make a commitment, though no question would truly love to be at the ETI-Nk'mip Rally with you-all this May. Means no decision can be made here until, earliest, the beginning of May. Bummer, that.
If we do make the trip, and then find ourselves froze out of any camp spots, that's the chance we'll have to take.
(But, after all, we'd still be in Canada.)

Aw, come on Myron, 1500 miles is easily done in 2 days. Of all the places you have taken that trailer that you should not have, now is the chance to take it back home for awhile. Try to make it.....

If you mean me, I reserved a site last September and requested a specific site. But we all know there are no guarantees. If you are coming, bring a bike, the place is huge.....
