Looks like we won't have to share, but I'll bring whisky anyway.

I might have a bottle or two on hand. Some yummy tequila for Patricia too.

Rally and Fishing
We're excited and looking forwards to meeting everyone at the rally.
To those who have been to the Osooyoos Lake, can people from outside Canada fish the lake?
I'm going to bring my touring bike to check out the area.
Looking forward to see everyone and safe travels.

You can. License will cost non-resident extra.
Go here.

The last time I was at the rally I talked to a nice lady who had ridden her bike on the trail by the lake. Somewhere along the trail as she approached getting back to her trailer, she had ridden over something thorny that came off the trees that had given her two flat tires. She was not real happy. I know that’s not much to go on but might help to heighten your awareness if this hazard is present this year.

We passed on the Escape Rally because of the long distance to Osoyoos but after reading about the French toast and pancake gourmet breakfast being cooked up by Mr Bennett we may have to reconsider attending next year . There are so many names we would like to put a face to that it may be worth the trip .
Hope you have nice weather and the rally is a great success

I expect they would. They sell everything else.
Online is really easy though.

Thank you Dave, good thing to watch out for. Even though I carry extra tubes and a patch kit, it's no fun to have not only one flat but two! I'm planning on riding my bike to different fishing spots, that's why I'm trying to find out if I can purchase a visitors fishing license. Again, thanks and see you at the Rally! Safe travels.

It's a big lake. You'd be better off with a boat than a bike.

That could be a rather deceptive description . From my experience all that means is that the lake isn’t frozen over 12 months out of a year .

We had a late winter here in the in the Okanagan Valley where the Rally will be held. However over a month ago the heat came on and the snow was gone in a few days. This past month we have had consistent temperatures over the normal and everything is green and ready to camp.
Yesterday we took a ride on the Kettle Valley Steam Train and if you are into trains it is a must see. It is located just over an hour north of the Rally on a natural route if you are heading east to Alberta. Or it makes for a nice afternoon round trip from the Rally. If you get there an hour before departure there should be enough parking for your trailer as well.
Here is a link to a 2018 Easter video...it is better and longer than the one we took yesterday. Easter was earlier last year so it shows a bit of snow. No such snow this Easter.
