Will be heading that way
We are planning on making the epic trip to the rally..........All the way from the Wack (Chilliwack). We've camped in the Oliver/Osoyoos area many times over the last 40 years. Great vineyards etc. Some nice biking in the area so you might want to bring the manual powered 2 wheel contraptions.

We have a group of 3 trailers going a day early and we're still not sure of when we will be leaving (Sun or Mon) as our trip is extending all the way up thru Canada to Alaska and then returning to Port Townsend whenever:-)
We would love to have you join us for the journey up to the Rally. Our plan is typically taking the ferry from PT to Coupeville and then following Hwy 20 north to Winthrop for the first day...and on to the Rally the second day.

We are arriving a day early and will stay for 5 nights...then we are off to explore Canada and Alaska. We will be taking the ferry from PT to Coupeville, then heading out on Hwy 20. As we are vacationing, we will overnight in Winthrop and then head to the Rally the next morning.
We would love to have you join us!

Rally
Ok here’s the Iowa Dave genius idea for the day.
The people at Escape tow the four models that are in their showroom to Osoyoos. They set them up in the grassy area across the road from the event center. They designate an open tour time and an appointment “one on one” schedule for specific questions. Included in the rally schedule would be an on site seminars. A how to fill out your build sheet session, a customization question and answer session and a “best way to pay for “money” session. With publicity and cooperation from the resort owners, and promotion on the Escape site, prospective buyers who do not have an Escape now could get a deluxe resort hotel room, visit the campground showroom, talk with current owners, and learn all about Escapes. Think outside of the box and try a new idea, that’s what I always say. Why else would you drink wine made out of rhubarb or dandelions?

Dave, we were kicking around the idea of flying out for rally. What "resort hotel room" are you referring to? Since cabin is not available we were looking into staying at Best Western in Osoyoos.

NkMip
Hi George,
The location where the rally is held is a large expanse of property which includes a hotel up on the ridge called Spirit Lodge. The whole place is called, Nk’Mip Resort. If you google that I’m sure there will be contact numbers you can call. I think I remember posts in previous years from people who stayed there and visited the rally. A call to Escape could probably be made to clarify rally attendance etc.

Yes, if you plan on attending the rally and staying for dinner, Tammy has to know the count since they are providing Fridays meal.

We really like the "on site seminar" idea. You have hit on some of the longest threads in the forum with "Money" session and customization session. The open house on Sat per CPAHarley's typical schedule sounds great, as it would be great to see the highly modified 19's.

For the 2016 Rally, my trailer had been ordered but not built yet so I tent camped. There are a few sires reserved in the campground for tenters. Out of 400 sites I was the only one (I think) in a tent. Lots of people felt sorry for me and came to visit and I had a great time.

Is there a link to the pdf file for enrollment. I have looked through the thread twice and can't find it.

Are there any Ham Radio operators attending who would like an informal get together with other Hams? Our caravan of 3 Escapes from Port Townsend are all Hams and would love to meet others. Let us know; we're thinking maybe of a gathering on Thursday night at the campground.

We are also both hams but, outside of our sailboat, never use it. For 17 years ham radio was our link to the world while we cruised from Los Angles to Panama to Trinidad, then up and down the Caribbean Islands. KC7UHQ and KC7UHY.

We will try to get out the message to as many as possible and post some sort of sign as to our location in the campsite...once we get there on Wed. before the Rally:-)
