I don’t think that the hutch and those fancy dishes and teapot are really that necessary! Maybe they can stay behind?

We didn't sign up for wine tasting, but we think we'd love to visit some breweries or cideries. It looks like there is a good selection in the area. Would anyone like to join us? Or give recommendations?

Hiking around Osooyos

Anyone interested in hiking in the vicinity of the rally at Osooyos? Or can give us advice about it? There are some Provincial Parks and Protected Areas around there, but not much information on the Internet.
Omay and I are experienced hikers, but we don't know Canada very well, having done just one trip there together--Banf and Lake Louise after visiting the showroom at Chilliwack the year before last.

We are looking for day hikes around the area as well, but didn't see much on AllTrails website so we are planning to just wait until we get there to look around.. We are heading out to Banff/Jasper after the rally so I guess even if we didn't find any hikes near Osoyoos it's okay..

Check out https://www.hikingaddiction.ca/
But most of them are around Kelowna, so a bit of a drive.

I wouldn't call it a hike really, more of a walk on uneven terrain. Regardless, I highly recommend the self-guided interpretive trail at the High Desert Museum. It takes you through local flora and fauna, but mostly it is about the local Okanogan Indians and their way of life prior to settlers. It was fascinating and the views across the valley were pretty darn nice too!

Allow an hour at least, or more if you read every sign and stop at every exhibit.

There are a couple of trails at the top of Mt. Kobau. You can drive up to the trailheads.

I really liked Tumbleweed Spirits in Osoyoos. They have a variety of choices to sample.

Here's The Thing winery, just north of Osoyoos is also really good. They are new, but really good!

If drinking in lieu of tasting is preferred, some of us go to The Sage on Thursday for happy hour specials, real close to Nk Mip CG.

How many Texans are headed to the rally? I already know of three for sure.

Fred and Dora
Rob and Patti
Mike and Donna

We are keeping track of each other via the Life360 app.

I was hoping to go to the rally this year but Dear One can't miss her important therapy-pool sessions and now has two of them rally week. Well I just got the go-ahead from her to make this trip solo. I am so ready.

Immediately emailed the campground, asking about availability. Response received minutes ago is... no sites are available. No big surprise there, bummer, of course, but I gave it a shot.

Wondering if I should take my chances on a last-minute cancellation. If I know me, it just might happen.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone at this years event!

If you want to stop by and see some of the Eggscape modifications or just say hi, feel free to do so. We will have either an OPEN or CLOSED sign in the window throughout the entire event.

We will post the site number when we get there.

See you there.

You could probably improve those signs with LED illumination. Or, even better, neon.

I’m attracted to flashing neon. I think it’s genetic but can’t be sure. Nature or Nurture I’m so confused.

I spoke to a friend who lives at Nk Mip last night, he says there are some Escapes already there. I mentioned that we filled the place and he was impressed. He also said it was getting warmer this weekend. I hope to be able to visit the museum this trip.
