Niagara rally

Yes the Rally is on and folks are registering with the campground. We usually get there later in the day on Wednesday ( this year the 11th) and leave after Breakfast at Betty’s on Sunday. Good time, nice CG with clean restrooms and showers. Easy drive to lots of nice sights. Don’t miss Niagara on the Lake and the Wineries. Beautiful architecture and tasty tasting.

Dave,
Is the Mississippi Rally the 27th-29th of September this year? Between it and Algonac Rally9/6-9/8 and Alf's Niagara Rally, the following week, 9/13-9/15, September is becoming full.

That is correct Jim. We will probably not go to Algonac as I’ll get to far behind at home if I skip all of September. I hope I’ll have apples to pick, dry some garlic and shoot some tree rats.

Visit the CN Tower in Toronto. Alf tells me that in a high wind it sways back and forth eight feet. So yeah, do that.

I’ve never swayed 8 feet but I have seen about 4 quarts of water on the lookout floor sloshed out of our water bucket . Course the lookout was only 55 feet tall. It took a few days to get our lookout legs. There is too much to do close to the Falls for me to consider going to Toronto. Niagara on the Lake is spectacular. Great bicycling up and down the river trail across from the CG. Some very nice vintage units interspersed with new fiberglass trailers of all brands.

Hi Folks,

After stumbling across Escape trailers some time ago, I like what I read on this forum about the quality of the product and support of the company. My wife and I are definitely interested in a 5.0 TA but we're not quite ready to buy yet. Since we expect to make a decision next year, the Niagara Rally in September would be a great way for us to see the trailer up close and ask lots of questions without having to go to Chilliwack. Since we live near Hamilton in Ontario, this would be very convenient for us. So my question is: is the rally open to non-owners? We'd like to come for the trailer tours on Saturday morning.

Thanks, Ron.

We just made reservations from the 10th to the 17th in site 43. Because we are staying a week we get a free night. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone then.

After the rally we are considering driving up to Tobomory to camp for a few days. (We used to camp at Lands End Campground when we lived in Syracuse NY in the 80's.) We would then take the Tobomory - South Baymouth ferry and continue on around the north shore of Lake Superior. Does anyone have suggestions about this route late Sept?

Hi: Richardr... Great to have you!!! We have stayed a few times at Lands End. Had the finest smoked white fish salad overlooking the Tub. My Daughter says don't miss staying at Sleeping Giant Prov. Pk. near Thunder Bay. A few days there will be needed too. Alf

Hi: Mike Lewis... Last time we went up there the sway was eight feet... but that was either side of center!!! If you lifted your leg there was nothing to put your foot down on. I don't mind flying but being attached to the ground at that hight is scarry. Alf

Hi: richardr... Only on the recomendations of very close friends and 5.0TA owners, you can't miss Betty's Pies, Two Harbors Minn. It's on the way round to Duluth. Alf
