By the way, there are several other really nice parks in Bandera if the chosen park is full. Perhaps the organizers might want to book an "overflow" park and put it out on the web site. I live here in Bandera and know of at least 6 parks within 5 miles of town (three stop lights!).

I think the hosts of the Bluebonnet is happy knowing they fill-up within hours and have folks on the wait list. Trying to shoehorn other folks or finding other parks for the overflow probably isn't on their list of things to do. Kinda like the Oregon Gathering in Bandon, OR... you snooze, you lose. Plan ahead!

I think everyone on the wait list usually gets in. Things come up for people and they cancel. Most people are very good at letting them know as far in advance as possible. We also double up where we can. That lets a few more trailers in.
Also besides the new Oliver there last year there were 3 21 Escapes. Ours was one. In fact we had someone who had come to see the new Oliver. They ordered a 21 Escape after seeing ours! We had a mini Escape rally before the Bluebonnet. Met some lovely people! The fun part of the rally is seeing all the different types of trailers. This is our 5th Bluebonnet rally. Always lots of fun. You can also come over and join in or tour the trailers if you are in another park. Everyone is very friendly and happy to meet other fiberglass owners. We still own our 17ft. Casita, she lives at an astronomy dark site and has become a man cave!

Is anyone meeting up ahead of time this year? The dates of this rallly always conflict with another commitment we have. We've got a 21' on order (build date mid-September). I'd LOVE to get a look at someone else's 21 before our build sheet is due...

Mary I don't think anyone is planning on a mini Escape rally this year. We will arrive in Bandera on Saturday the 18th. So if you want to see ours we will be there early. Just pm me and we can exchange phone #'s. We go early to see friends in the area. Also our friends from Virginia are planning on coming in early, they are staying at a different rV park. They are passing through on the way out west. They also have a 21ft.

Looks like 9 Escapes confirmed at the Rally. Not a bad showing at all, especially considering it's mainly a Casita Rally and it's in Texas.

Robert, where can i find the list of attendees at the rally here in Bandera. I was thinking about inviting Escape owners to the house on Saturday afternoon/evening for dinner/cook out.

Is there any special protocol for attending a day, without a trailer? My wife and I want to visit Friday morning and check out some trailers. We have no idea what we got ourselves into...

I think you could walk around with a cooler full of beer and just introduce yourself.

With all those attendees, I would have to bring a keg! Hope everyone likes Shiner.

No special protocol. We have about 7 Escapes here now. I happen to be closest to the entrance so if you see my trailer just stop by and I can show you around. Most of the others are set up in the back. Really all you need to do is park and walk around and people will be happy to show you their trailers Escape or otherwise. And yes Shiner will do.

We'll be there sometime this morning Steve. When you see the glare and bling from all that newness you might need some dark glasses...lol

Y'all have fun at Bluebonnet. Keep an eye on the weather. Watching the weather channel it looks like some wicked thunderstorms may roll through on Friday and Saturday. Protect those awnings! Oh, and share pictures please

Thanks Donna. It's going to get much warmer here with a high on Saturday of 91F. Friday is the problem. Strong T-storms. Oh well, just another South Texas spring.
